Of course not. But the implication of the story and some of the posts here is that he was beaten simply because he's white.

We just spent two weeks here agreeing with each other that it's wrong for the black community to assume that Brown was shot because of his race. There is evidence it might have been for a reason unrelated to his being black.

Yet here a whole bunch of you seem ready to assume that a black group beat up this guy just because he's white. And even in the presence of evidence to the contrary.

Seems a lot of you are no better than the uninformed in Ferguson.

1)He was told whitey shouldn't be there

2)A group followed him to another establishment...

3)Where he was processed to be beaten.

Seems legit to not assume it wasn't racially charged.

This guy clearly didn't learn anything from Ferguson. All he needed was a tear gas grenade to disperse the mob that was beating him up. I recommend everyone carry one of these in case an angry crowd of black people come after you, specifically while visiting Waffle House or IHOP.

You both assume from some facts that it was racially motivated. You both ignore the fact that his own friend says he was getting into it with some folks at the Waffle House, arguing with them.

I'm not saying it was or wasn't racially motivated. If it was, it should be prosecuted that way. But the police chief says their investigation suggests that it wasn't, so there is clearly some reason to pause and wait for the facts to emerge.

You know, sort of like we are all saying is the case in Ferguson.

I haven't protested/rioted once this week!

But, lets just look at what we do know and then we can draw some conclusions. Guy was to don't go into the WH because he's white, guy gets into an argument and leaves, or dragged out by his friend. Goes to another eatery and is followed, guy gets beat down.

Reverse the races and tell us (honestly) what would be your reaction? Be outraged it's not being classed as a hate crime?

btw I think the hate crime status are ludicrous.

AA: "Yo Cracka this WH for the N-ggas only man!"
Caucasian Male: No way man. I know my Rights man. I can eat wherever I want.


Argument continues till he goes to Huddle house where he's beaten on by multiple men that followed him from the Waffle House.

Now that's purely speculation, but This definitely seems it was a Racially charged crime and the Chief is shielding it because Black on White Racism doesn't exist.

I wouldn't go that far, I'd say he is handling the way he is due to the racial tension because of the mess in Ferguson and knows whites won't care.

Apparently the University of Oklahoma AD got notice there are a series of protests scheduled for this Saturday in support of Michael Brown. And the protest is right in front of the route the team takes to the stadium and in front of one of the larger gates so it could get entertaining around game time.

The info we got said there were planed protests at "multiple games across the country" on Saturday. Don't know how much faith I'd put in it or how large they will be, but for the OU AD to pass it on means they are a little concerned.
