Ferguson Riots

In this case absolutely. If he had not taken this man out even after suffering a ruptured eye socket more innocent citizens would have been assaulted murdered or raped by this thug.

Brown was on a crime spree that day and was hell bent.

Or could have found Jesus the next day. I'm honestly not taking sides in this because I wasn't there, but I know I grew up being an idiot and acting a fool, too. But I've changed, this kid didn't get the chance.

He had a chance before he robbed a store & assaulted a cop.

Things like injuries to the officer, toxicology reports, video of Brown in the moments before trying to intimidate the store employee -- these will all be portrayed by the Brown supporters as character assassination. In reality, its all a part of the puzzle of what occurred. Does each one have the same significance of, say, the autopsy results? No, probably not.

But you cannot separate out the parts of the story you don't like. Its up to a prosecutor, a grand jury, and then maybe a criminal or civil jury to decide exactly how the pieces fit together.

This kid made decisions that directly led to him not getting that chance.

Again, I don't think he deserved to "get" anything.

Kid was 6-4 and 300 lbs. Someone want to lead me to believe he couldn't have started playing football in high school and made something of himself? Even if he leaned up, we're still talking 260 plus.

Yea you chose to I chose not to. I realized the military was full of idiots & if in long enough those idiots acquire rank & power. I don't want my life in no way, shape, or form in any of those hands. You also have the political side where every officer is clawing to "get his" which in return screws all those under him. As for training I don't view sleep deprivation or exposure to extreme cold/heat as training. What does that prepare you for? Yea it's rough but that's it. It takes a little will power & mental fortitude. As for the physical side, it's nothing the average person can't do or could.

You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about.

Why does it have to be sports? Couldnt his dad have sat down with him and worked on his studies?....:whistling:

And that excused his behavior of assaulting both a shopkeeper and a police officer?

I'd have to say he didn't take the chance as opposed to getting a chance. Why did he have to be given anything?

I didn't say it excused him. Where did I say that?

I responded to the "rape and murder" spree, with an OR he could have completely changed his life.

I agree with a lot of this. I won a ton of unit and group level airman of the year and quarter awards. I was great at my job, but I had zero respect for almost every member of my chain of command.

The majority of those who stayed in were those who couldn't make it in the real world. And no one wanted to give them EPR (enlisted performance review) ratings that they deserved.

Nearly every officer I've ever meet was a spineless tool. The only ones I liked were the bitter old lt col who knew they had made it as far as they were going to.

I almost joined the marines because I thought it would be better there. But when I was 18 I went to DEP meeting and meet ROTC kids for the first time. It was frightening. It was like their school didn't have a chess club, so they all joined ROTC.

I've never meet more wow playing rail thin cancer patient looking distance than I did in the military.

I laughed. ...rotc? Wow!

It's getting more and more difficult to believe that the increasing tension between the economic classes is just par for the course and that it's no different from past flare ups. The poor resent the upper and investment class for hoarding wealth, and the upper and investment class resent the poor for taking from them via social programs. A Romney, or other wealth white politician, is seen as a tool to protect the wealth of the top, an Obama is seen as trying to redistribute wealth to the poor.

Put aside who is right: if there isn't a good conversation about this soon it makes you wonder about the nation's fate.

LOL. I don't know what economic data you've been reading, but I can't imagine the wealthy being better off under any other president. The poor have gotten poorer, the middle class is getting wiped out, and the rich are getting wealthier than they ever dreamed. You can't honestly say Obama is working to help the poor.

Isn't that a good thing? Won't their wealth trickle down to us all now?

Maybe it would trickle down if corporations were investing in America, but they're not. Due to free trade agreements and tax laws, it's cheaper to move manufacturing and HQs overseas now and ship products to the US.
