Wow, Kiffin would be perfect, he's been my favorite choice since we started talking about new coaches this year. Hope it's true, imagine the recruiting and offense, just got the chills

Venables would be a good hire. They've been tapping into that texas talent for years now. It would open a pipeline into texas again.

I'm not really feeling that. Muschamp is my guy......but anything is better than the present

Try not to be so misleading. That's like saying "The team bus crashed..." and then when you open the post it says "in my dream last night."

Bruce Feldman is one of the three or four most respected writers in college football. Here's an idea, blaker: Know what you're talking about before you post.

Gotta get rid of Fulmer first. That seems to be are hard thing to do.

to pull top talent out of texas--that is a pipe dream. We'd be much better off going after somebody with florida/SE connections. IMO the Vols need to hire a strong offensive mind with some experience who works hard and will like to recruit. You want to hire somebody who's BEST coaching days are ahead--not behind; that's why no Butch Davis or any real veteran. You want to hire a comer, IMO, unless somebody established--not too old--emerges surprisingly.

I think it's considerably easier to find a good defensive coordinator than a really sharp offensive coordinator. UT's problems have been more offensive than defensive in recent years, though both have suffered from a talent falloff. But I would hire a guy who knows offense and can hire a good DC.

You get venables here and we start getting a few kids out of texas each year. I would make a bet with you on that. Pipe dream hardly.
