Feelings about this Game? Anyone worried?

No, I'm not worried.
Two things on my mind today: The game, and anticipated Washington announcement. Lord, I hope we get him....
I told some yesterday. I know we're not "back" yet and still have a lot of work to do. But I feel comfortable in us taking care of business with games we should win, and we "should" win this game. It might not be pretty all 60 minutes, but I have faith we get it done. That's a good step forward in getting back.

I feel good.

I dont know how the first half will go but I would bet the house on how the second half will be.

1. Pruitt/Ansley have shown they can make second half adjustments on the D that just seem to completely shut down opposing Os.
2. This team has also had to learn how to dig deep and FINISH a game when its close, they have learned how to have GRIT, something I dont think IA has simply because they have been more consistent rather than having to come up from the depths of despair like we did. Say what you want but that kind of overcoming adversity gives a toughness and confidence in the clutch moment that cant be gotten any other way.
3. Jennings is going to come out of that locker room wanting to set IA's world on FIRE. If you ever thought he wanted the ball before this game, imagine how badly he wants it today. Do you think he is going to let a defender take it from him? two defenders? three?

The ONLY question in this game is JG. If he gets into a rhythm early, this game is never even in question. If his mind starts playing tricks, then we are going to have to earn it the hard way.

A little worried and anxious I mean you never know with JG are we going to get the Mizzou or South Carolina performance or will we get the BYU and Georgia St. one

Based on the time of year , I think it's obvious we should expect the Better JG. BUT, Jennings suspension will hurt in the first half. NOBODY busts it like JJ.

I hope we kill them but I am a little nervous. Not just because of the unknown variable at our quarterback position. Indiana is no slouch this year. Even though their qb is out the backup has done well and Indiana can put points on the board. The positive for us is Indiana does not have a great defense. I expect Tennessee to establish the run, work off play-action and run away late.

I like UT more in this game because our overall Defense is better and the QB play of JG improved down the stretch. I have not seen IU play much at all this year but apparently, they are a pass-oriented offense. I expect Taylor will see a lot of double teams so hopefully this allows another edge rusher to have a significant impact on the game bringing the pressure. If our o line is opening up running lanes like the way they did in Vandy game, then we win by double digits IMO. If running game is subpar and JG has set up the run with pass, then expect a closer game. GBO!!!

I think "The bowl game is a spring board into 2020" sounds good in January, and then no one cares by March either way.

I'm more worried about sending the seniors off right than this game impacting anything in the future.

Not saying we lose but we aren't good enough to overlook any team.
I don't think a Jeremy Pruitt led team will ever do that again. The only people overlooking this team are some of the fans. Indiana is very much in the same vein as UAB as their results were padded significantly by playing teams having historically bad seasons. (anyone expecting Northwestern to be 3-9 this year?)

Team may be flat at the start, just from a bit of separation from the momentum they had developed at the end of the season. I expect them to get better rather quickly and start to treat them like Vanderbilt.

Not worried at all. We've already won by getting the 15 extra practices. It's a glorified scrimmage, IMO. I won't be mad if we lose but I think we'll win convincingly.

You have been here long enough to know we don't allow that kind of positive thinking on the board! U should be banned!

Car in front of me on my way to work was from Indiana. I kept blowing my horn at them and tried to run them off the road. They seemed unfazed. Not a good sign IMO

No, they're just use too the idiot drivers here in Indiana

Posted this in another thread but worth posting here......

Their record sounds nice coming out of the B1G at 8-4 overall but their 8 wins were against teams with a combined record this season of 25-72 including D2 Eastern Illinois. They didn't beat a team with a winning or even a .500 record this year. In their 4 losses they were outscored on average of 41-20. I don't think tonight will be a cake walk but I think some posters are putting to much stalk into IU's 8-4 record.

Just don't do what Wisconsin did and then we'll be just "fine"
I was going to say "ok", but just ok is not ok.

Anyone else surprised that there have not been any Hoosier posters on VN. If there were, I must have missed it.

Minn beating Auburn has me a little concerned as I didn't think any B10 teams other than maybe OSU could handle SEC teams. From what I have been reading Ind. does pass the ball well. If our D can get some int's early we can get control otherwise I think it may go to a 4th game but Vols pull it out.

Trust me there isn't many true IU football fans. IU basketball fans turn into Notre Dame football fans as the seasons change.
