The Senate Intelligence Comittee idea is a no risk ploy bybthe GOP. First, the most likely outcome is that they get turned down. That enables Trumpsters to say, see its all a set up! Why can't we see the documents!!!

And if it is allowed, the GOP member say the documents aren't that sensitive, there is no way for the public to double check it.

Smells like a gimmick to me.

I think the republic would be better off with term limits and an age limit to serve at 65 but that ain’t happening either.

He almost certainly did. Someone did. All they have to show is his knowledge the documents were there and were due to be given back. Hard to imagine he didn't know since it was a sore spot for months.

I'd say 95 pct he knew. Ergo, guilty.

Now, if the reason is worse. Like selling the material or using it to repay a debt to a foreign adversary. Well, that's a whole different kettle o' fish.

Given his resistance I'd say at worst 50 50 he's not looking at what would effectively be a life sentence at his age.
