Even considering trading a terrorist arms dealer for a basketball player that clearly violated the law in a foreign country?

It's mind numbing. The former president having some documents in his house under lock and key that belonged to the Archives shouldn't even perk anyone's interest. The feigned outrage is ridiculous.

The contents of those items matter. An explanation as to why Donald Trump didn't return those items when he was served with a subpoena for them would be of help too. By any standard of rational behavior, Trump's conduct was suspicious.

You do understand with each new one , your ability to keep the original question of “ why didn’t he just return them “ gets further and further away from the 24/7 news cycle right ? This is not a revelation , it’s how this thing works , it’s how politics is done in the age of sounds bytes , 30 second videos . Look .. Well, where have you been for the last 8 years or so? Hillary destroyed evidence and was emailing classified information and storing it on her private servers and that ended up on the weinerman’s laptop yet the FBI never raided her residence. Comey refused to charge her despite admitting she had broken federal law because it would politicize the DOJ. So, you must believe she should be in prison too?

Look back through any of your posts about Trump , have you ever said that he does anything that you think is rational behavior ? Why are you trying so hard to fit the square peg in the round hole all of a sudden ?

Does the average non political American even care other than being pumped this vitriol? Got to pump up the balloon about some docs..that nobody even knows. but speculate to their idealogical worst case.

Inflation and providing a living with freedom are what matters.

Sure...DC is corrupt as hell. Who would be naive to deny? Trillions and control at stake in the divide.

you will not see that , you won’t see anything close to that , ever . You , I , and that author are not in the elitist class , if you don’t believe it .. try it a see where our class is . Just being in possession of things like Hunters laptop now , Hillary’s emails , Epsteins flight logs , Trumps “ pee tapes “ , proof that GW lied about WMDs , would be enough to make us go on a long long vacation somewhere . The machine is vast and powerful . I believe we were warned about that once from a very intelligent man name Jefferson . Sooo you got any more of those free federal programs?

Does anyone else see a problem with this entire document thing when a president moves out of the White House and takes a bunch of stuff, including documents with him? Other than personal items like clothes etc, why doesn't everything get sent to a clearing house where everything can be scrutinized by lawyers and archivists etc to determine what goes back to the president and what goes into the archives? This pack it up and we'll figure it out later sounds like a dumb way to do things.

I don't think it's, "pack it up and we'll figure it later." I think it's, "government paperwork belongs to the governnent and it's not the property of an individual."
