FBI locks down Pilot HQ?

From what I am hearing this is all a smokescreen. The real truth is ESPN is still mad about the Gruden rumors and they hate us. :)

Gas stations involved so it must be price gouging, huh?

I'm astounded by what some think that constitutes, if only they knew what our margins on fuel typically are. Especially when you factor in the costs to process credit cards.

People on ESPN chat starting to tie this to the University (trolling fans imo). Is anybody hearing anything locally? Also, why is this not in the football forum? It is definitely related to our program.

I confirmed this earlier. Scroll up.

Guys, this is tied to only a few people, and 100% NOT the Haslams. The people involved are less than 4 from my understanding - they will be persecuted and Pilot will pay a 7 or 8 figure fine.

Just some speculation I've heard from people who work there who would know.

The IRS is part of the Treasury Department. I am just guessing that the case involves money laudering.

Two of our largest boosters and the governor of our state? But ok, you seem to know everything, so you have to be right.

What's your point? If this was anything near football related we wouldn't suck IMO. Nobody's busting in players and coaches doors good grief o_O

If you're dumb enough to think these people have some kind of paper trail rolling back into UT of violations or if you think because this investigation is happening huge, unfathomable amounts of money will suddenly fall away from Tennessee's AD nobody can help you.

I don't think the Haslams, if they are paying players, would be stupid enough to leave an easy-to-follow paper trail behind as evidence.

The only thing this has to do with UT football is that it could mean that the AD gets less of a donation from a big donor.

They aren't paying for players. They are barely paying for coaches. Kiffin, dools, and Jones. Might have fell ass backwards into a great hire with Jones, but that wasn't exactly a top shelf hire at the time. Jmo.

Yes. They left a huge papertrail right back to the Pilot HQ that we are paying players. The NCAA was so concerned about our dominance over the last 5 years, that they decided to pass off jurisdiction on this one to the FBI and the IRS.

I heard Big Jim keeps detailed records of every cent he's ever paid a player in a notebook labled "Money for UT Football Players" in plain site on top of his desk.

Sadly, there are some that actually believe this.
