Favorite Drink of Choice at Tailgate Parties

We made a pretty incredible orange float one year. Gallon of orange sherbet Ice cream, two handles of everclear, sprite, orange soda. Everyone said "this doesn't have any alcohol in it, does it?" Then one hour later someone's crying, someone's arguing about the Jets, and another person is on the ground or asleep in his car. You've been warned

My mom used to make that for games and we called it Rally Punch. It has a kick for sure.

War Juice for you city boys it just old fashion home made MOON SHINE, you can drink 6 oz"s and you are ready to go to war.:) Straight from the Copper pipe.:)

I wouldn't expect it any other way from you!

My neighbor and I are the biggest vols fans in our friend group. This is an approximation based on the past. Let's say it's the Oklahoma game so game time is at 6.
9am: 2 cups of Irish coffee a piece
10: go to store, buy 12 pack of PBR (his choice). Drink on our porch while listening to Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, and Nappy Roots
12: go to Goal Post Tavern for the $4 Big gulps. Usually I have 2-4 depending on how long we're there
2: go to University liquors, grab a fifth of Jameson and a 2 liter of Ginger ale
2:10: grab another 12 pack of miller lite and head to the tailgate (the one between mcdonalds and Krystal's)
2:30-5:30 sit in a folding chair and drink while watching other games and eating McChickens. Leave nothing behind
5:30 stumble to the student entrance huffing down American Spirits
5:55 break a tear as the T opens up and lose consciousness after the first "Woo" in rocky top.
8:00 am wake up, cry that Chik-Fil-A is not open on Sunday, rewatch the game that we recorded, and set my fantasy lineup so that I lose by only 30.

Damn, if you drink half that much I'm impressed.

I like drinking PBR or Miller Lite while tailgating but I hate having to piss every 45 minutes. I'd like to transition to more liquor this season. We'll see how that goes.

It's what happens when your bloodlines are Irish, German, Scottish, and Native American. Doesn't hurt when you're 240 lbs and 22 years old either

also all of that is split between two people TIFWIW

If you're in the Greater Nashville area (Hendersonville/Gallatin) then you need to check out a local beer called BriarScratch. Only served in a few spots and a grawler in a local liquor store but a top notch local brew!

Cottontown Brown is delicious!!

This year, in addition to the regular stuff (lots of beer and bourbon), we're doing patron shots 1 hour before breaking down the tailgate to really get juiced up!!

Start off with a few nice high grav's then switch to Old Milwaukee, got tired of my beer disappearing. Now I can still be generous and offer fellow tailgaters drinks but rarely do they take one.

Vols fans have higher standards than Old Milwaukee - thats why they dont want it .

Never too early to start planning --for my 2017 tailgating liquor menu, we will be doing bloody marys in the AM with Reyka, switching from jack to makers mark for all day bourbon, cooled off with coors lite and Sam Adams, and for pre-game shots--Juarez silver -- good under $20 label, and fireball -- can't wait
