It was hotter than a ho in church. I stayed until midway through the 4th, but there was absolutely no respite from the sun. Didn't have a single beer (too hot to drink), but when I started to feel light headed, I knew it was time to throw in the towell.

The siren of the gator "ambulance" was constant from the 3rd quarter on. I saw 3 people around me bite the dust from the heat.

I honestly can't imagine how hot the team was on the field, but I suppose that practicing outside most every day would condition them a bit more than someone who stays in an office the majority of their life.

What he said. And I also hadn't eaten lunch yet.

Holy Crap was it hot!!! My 5 yr old son had a ball at his first game, but he now knows that sweat will make his eyes burn. We left early in the 4th because I was afraid the big dude behind me might mistake my sunburned ears for pork rinds....

Seriously? People who sat home are complaining? It was 100 degrees on the field and you could have fried eggs on those seats. It was an admirable show of fan support-- and the team got a double-digit win. There may be things to complain about later this season... but not today.

This was the first time I have been sunburned at a ball game.

Sat halfway up Section B. Wife and 4-yr-old girl spent lots of time in the concourse area. Pretty sure my family accounted for 20 gallons of water consumption. Wife, her friend and our girls went to the car late in the 3rd and hung out in the air. Me, my friend and my sons closed out the game.

Dat sun was blazin.

LSU has a half empty stadium in the third quarter. I guess they don't have good home field advantage or fans either.

I rarely leave early, but me and the wife left midway through the 4th. I will always stick it out if the game is close, or we are still full throttle, but it was pretty apparent by that point that CBJ was just interested in running time off the clock.

I stayed until Rocky Top was played for the last time. It was miserably hot in Z12 during the 2nd half though, so I can't blame people who left a little early after the game appeared to be decided.

EMT's were constantly running around attending to people during the 2nd half. I think my wife and I spent about $30 bucks on water at the game.

Red Cross treated something like 120 people for serious heat issues (passing out, needing IVs, etc).

Concourse in the up north upper deck looked like an airport during a winter storm with all kinds of people sitting down/laying down every where.

I wear a plastic suit most days at work so I was fairly comfortable, but lot of folks were dropping like flies.

Stayed til the end in section X5. It was a scorcher. Saw one lady carried out after a few minutes of triage of water and ice a few sections over. Was happy early rain forecast did not happen but would have done a rain dance near the end if I had any skills.

Me and my boy sat over in M. I'm glad I thought to bring waters to drink early this morning... we got pretty good and hydrated early... if we hadn't theres no way we coulda stayed as long as we did. We finally left with about 6 minutes to go, just couldn't take it anymore. It was hotter than the 3rd level of Hell there today... Ambulance was out front treating someone as we left. Up until this game there was a UCLA game I think it was... some years back that was the hottest game I'd ever been to. This one today is now the new leader in that category. Feel free to berate me for leaving early... but I took no sunblock wasn't expecting this. Face and neck feels like someone poured kerosene on it.

If you had one of the big refillable drink cups, they were refilling them with water as many times as you needed it. I asked... I almost spent $3 for a bottle of that other crap, glad I didn't.

How many of the 120 prepared for the heat? Drink water early, wear light colored clothes and a hat/cap, don't eat the crappy concessions food. I bet out of the 120 people 115 were over weight, out of shape, and work in AC. They need to watch the weather forecast next time a little better.

Yeah.

Screw that 82 year old gal in our section.

And the 6 year old.

Honestly, most of the chubs bailed out early or stayed at home. Sitting in a hot, humid, breeze-less stadium is hard on a lot of people if they aren't acclimated. Regardless of fitness level.

Plenty of of Rush rats/Court South warriors were falling out, too.

Thanks.....it's called be prepared, don't be stupid if you suspect you can't take the heat and humidity stay home or watch from the shade. Don't get overheated just to prove you can handle it. How many points do I Get?

You still get zero even if you "where" light clothing. Would light orange be a "peach" color?
