Predictions:
- no beer for the GA game
- the University will consider capacity limits on student seating for at least the GA game
- we will get a really big fine... maybe $250K+
- the league will issue a warning to all SEC schools... and it will be window dressing
- money will still rule the SEC leadership decisions... some things will never change

The fact that anyone is trying to justify the actions of our fans is a complete joke. It was totally classless and has no place in college sports. Sad because it legit makes me question if I should ever take my young kids to a game.

Oh and by the way, it wasn’t a first down anyway.

Ole Miss did the same thing to us just recently:

I truly believe the fanbase has lost their patience.

Ole Miss players taunting the fans and players, faking injuries to slow down our momentum, incompetent officiating, completely ruined a good game.

The fans are tired of being bullied and they finally snapped tonight.
“Lost their patience”, “tired of being bullied”, “snapped”. Excuses an eleven year old might throw out. Grow up. No excuse for this behavior. None.

The refs are lucky the fans didn’t snap and storm the field. People are at a boiling point anyway and getting screwed by dumb arse officials could be enough to start some real fireworks.

If you're fed up then don't sabotage your own program by acting like morons. You'd think we knew how to lose by now

Didn't look like it sabotaged the program. The players responded with a 3 and out, we had a chance to win in the end. We are down scholarship players and we played out of our minds against a more talented team. This team with these coaches will possibly bring Tennessee back to relevance. This did nothing to hurt recruiting, it was more of an indictment of the school more than anything else. You've been wrong before and you are this time as well.

Conference officiating has to be looked into, no doubt. We aren’t the first and won’t be the last to be screwed. The conference officiating needs investigation more than anything that occurred during Pruitt’s tenure. Dare I say basketball is even worse. No consistency and crap being flung on the fly to see what sticks.

There was a moment, when it looked like they were going to call the game, where I thought "this is going to spark a riot".

100%. This tribal behavior was years in the making.
100% Bull sh##! I’m truly convinced some of you have never watched any team play other than UT, and are completely ignorant that bad/blown calls are common and happen nearly every game I watch and I watch a lot.
Anyone not completely condemning what happened is ridiculous.
stuff getting thrown can get people hurt and most likely it would be a vol fan cause most of the stuff doesn’t reach the field

I think the frustration is we actually won. Points were literally taken off the board.

We didn’t lose, we actually weren’t allowed to win. I don’t blame the fans one bit.

The frustration was warranted and we are all losing sight of the fact that the OM players were taunting and egging it on while it was happening.

I’m just about over this SEC officiating and clear bias toward the preferred teams. It’s ridiculous at this point and any notion of accountability is past gone.

Need to see Danny White step up and call BS on the conference on crappy officiating which was patently leaning to help Ole Miss in a difficult game, if the AD isn't going to stand up for the program in the face of the conference, why should the fans give two hoots and thousands of dollars for this charade, White will not have a crowd like tonight again this season and probably not during his tenure here as AD, Ole Miss will never have a crowd like what filled Neyland tonight in orange and white

The only thing more deplorable than the fans conduct tonight was the horrible officiating and our AD that will not stand up for the program

There is zero excuse to throw projectiles that can injure someone over a game, no matter how much you care about the game. Secondly the idiots were hitting Ole Miss players and Tennessee cheerleaders, dance team, etc. Just absolutely embarrassing after a team plays their ass off for you to do this to them.

For the first time in a while this team is doing the program proud and some idiotic fans just embarrassed the program.
Grow a set please.

There was, is, and never will be an excuse for how our fans behaved tonight under any circumstances, period. Absolutely classless.

Honestly answer - in a fairly called game, do the fans react the way they did, even if we lose?

In the 100 years of football at Neyland stadium, is there anything to suggest the fans would react they way they did had this been even close to a fairly called game?

Honestly answer that, then come back with who is really to blame.

A few fans got mad and the majority were just idiots who probably thought it was funny. Students seemed to be enjoying the chaos like typical stupid college kids always do.

If they can ID any students being involved? At best, they might just be banned from the stadium. At worst, they might be expelled. But I am betting it was mostly some morons from the redneck contingency.
