I just wish that I had the patience and attention span for Fallout. It is a really good series, I just have never been able to finish any of them.

I'm working on finishing up 3 now.. Will Vegas have the same layout as Fallout 3 or will they go back to Fallout 1 & 2 format?

It's going to be the same style as Falout 3, it will be an FPS and it'll still have VATS. Obviously there will be some newer features but I'm glad to see they won't be changing anything too much.

The game is being developed by Obsidian instead of the Bethesda team that made Fallout 3. I'm assuming Bethesda is working on the new Elder Scrolls game. Bethesda will be publishing though, and Obsidian is a good developer.

This game looks amazing, just finished FO3 for the second time and working on the Broken Steel expansion now. So good. This one looks just as good and set in Vegas are you kidding me? Plus with hardcore mode.../stoked =P

The non Bethesda concerns me a little. Bethesda has a strong history.
of making great buggy games. and their support is always a little lacking. make a beautiful game. hype it up. send it out. release one patch...ignore it to move on the next game. i will still buy what they make, but i always end up cursing them them at some point in the game...lol

i actually almost didn't get to finish fallout 3 because of a huge bug that happened to me near the end of the game. liberty prime got stuck on a bridge and wouldn't move. i eventually got it to progress after loading up the save multiple times. it was a great game, but agree that it had alot of issues. hopefully they improve this one in that category.

I preordered this game Saturday. Comes out Oct 19th. Thought Id give the thread a little bump since it had gone MIA.

I'm on the fence on getting this now as well. I got bored with 3 and went back to Oblivion

It seems like it may be more true to Fallout 1 and 2, in some ways... I don't know. I want to buy it, but don't know if I should it NOW because I have so much stuff going on. Maybe I will wait awhile when I can get the edition with whatever expansions that will come out included.

i'm sure this will be good, but i'm almost fully expecting this not to be as great as 3 at this point. it's just a hard game to improve upon with as good as it was. there was a ton of stuff to do in the last game, and the dlc made the experience almost endless.

The realism mode in this one alone makes it a potential upgrade to 3, depending on how you like to play.
