Fallout 4

You're right, but I miss being able to solve quests and whatnot using a high Barter skill or Explosives skill, or notice things with high Perception in dialogue. That's just part of Fallout and it always has been until now. I can't really think of any reason it was done this way other than that the wheel and voiced protagonist were limiting factors.

I really miss the high intelligence speech checks as well, especially when conversing with a scientist NPC. It was always really funny to enter a conversation where they think you're an idiot, but your INT is so high that you end up knowing more than them.

I sunk about 100 hours into this and never ended up beating it. The story was certainly the least interesting aspect of the game.

Overall it was a decent game, but I can't say it was exceptionally fun to play. It was the first Fallout game I've played and wasn't enough to convince me to buy other Fallout games.

Can anyone help or give me advice on the bunker hill mission? I get to the siths, and no matter what I choose it always freezes on me. I can't continue the story..really frustrating. I can kill the siths, deactivate, let them go....I even tried killing everyone, nothing works.

I got to the final mission and it never popped up for me to choose. Tried everything. Theres alot of different issues with the final mission. Unless you have a hard save before you started it your sol. It sucks

there were a couple times I just had to randomly mash the speech buttons because the options never came up. Sometimes it was only a couple of button smashes then others it was a solid minute or two of getting my character to say "Unhu" before an option finally came up.

Same for me. I had more fun building settlements than anything. The storyline was meh. But I enjoyed a lot of the other stuff. I haven't played Fallout 4 in a couple of weeks though I kind of got bored. I wish I had a pc and got to enjoy all the mods it would make the game 10x more enjoyable.

Yeah, my approach to Bethesda games is always a full playthrough immediately after release, then I shelve it for about a year and a half and come back when the modders have had a chance to overhaul it.

They haven't wasted any time on this release, I'll say that now.

Well, the full modkit hasn't even been released yet. So the major overhauls are still a long way off.

I actually don't think FO4 will need any crazy mods to be better. Although I'm sure someone will completely redesign the perk system and bring back the old leveling mechanics where you are allocated a certain number of skill points and dump them into your core stats every time you level up.

Personally I like the new skill system. The overhauls will be crazy though.

I just literally found out the season pass for the DLC will be bumped up to 49.99 tomorrow. So I just got a last chance purchase of it for 29.99

So if anyone else is interested on the DLC, got a few hours to get it cheaper.

Coming from modding the PC version; you would be surprised and how well modding improves look and gameplay.

What mods are you running right now? I check the Nexus from time to time but most of the ones available right now seem cosmetic/performance-based. I'm waiting for some major overhauls before diving back into the game.

so is the first dlc out today? I got an update on FB about it but haven't seen anything else.

I've played through the missions. It's surprisingly short. Not a lot of missions. The ability to build robots is cool I guess... Just a little underwhelming. There's a couple of new weapons. That's about it.

yeah I had about 6 hours of storyline game play from it. a lot of that because the final fight kept glitching.

as long as the new enemies stick around after completion I won't mind the shortness so much. I also hope that more of the dungeons get altered than what the storyline gives.

also for me on the XBox it seems like they changed the amount of stuff you can add to settlements. My fullest settlement got set back to about half and I can now stick more settlers in it.
