GMAC will be our starter and his haters will complain he threw an incomplete pass, didn't run fast enough, or just breathed wrong

I don't have a clue who Tennessee's starting QB will be when the season begins, and I don't believe that Tony Basilio does either, but Basilio has been running down George MacIntyre recently, and some Vol fans are running with it on social media. It probably explains this thread as well.

I really have not seen many if ANY haters of GMAC.... What are you talking about?
So evidently you don't have the "skinny" on him. Maybe,as I've said b4, hate is too strong of word to use on college kids. How about he has his doubters? August practice will a strong determinant in who guides the offense. We'll talk again then since all we have from now to then is speculation.

If we had a game in 2 weeks, I’d start Staub. He looked better than the other 2 in spring game, can run to keep the chains moving and has played some D1 ball.
We cannot run this offense effectively if we can’t tuck it and run from qb position. Been warning folk since his prior to his commitment that Gmac didn’t run in HS and won’t in college. If he starts he will be the least mobile qb Heup has had as a HC. Some say well he played basketball but 6’8 210 keeping it on an rpo with an olb coming full steam ahead is not ideal.

I really don't think we make the playoffs, but I do think we will raise highlight hell, rock, and roll CFB. Producing the most watched games all season long.
Why? Certain teammates will start getting too full of themselves and fork things up. It's the NIL era, remember.
Of course we make the playoffs. We made it with Nico, so obviously QB is not the determining factor. QB will decide if we're top two in SEC scoring offense or only top 5. The determining factor this year is Knowles. The defense will be at least as good a Banks' average season and most likely much better.

I think GMac is/will become a very good qb. The fact that Brandon is making this a competition does not have to reflect negatively on GMac, and I don't think it should. Sometimes you find a generational talent that plays so well that not putting him on the field becomes extremely difficult. I believe this may be the case with Brandon.

Please don’t link Zach Ragan articles. I’m not giving that clickbaiting hack another click.

Doubters will always exist in every aspect of life. After all people think the moon landing was fake and the earth is flat.

I don’t envy coaches having to make that decision, because ultimately you have to play who looks the best in practice. But as we’ve shown on a few occasions, and that’s not specific to us, practice is not necessarily the best indicator.
One of the worst things about football today. The QB's never get hit in practice. Nobody had a clue just how good Dobbs was at breaking tackles until he actually got into a real game.

Faizon will be our starting qb week 1 and the Vols are gonna surprise some people this season. Playoffs here we come. Go Vols baby
More than a good chance both get plenty of game time. Also pretty much foregone conclusion that one of them hits the portal, so better get the right one in place.
