VN, I'm well aware that I'm not everyone's most beloved poster, but I am requesting prayers today. I found out just a couple of hours ago that my grandfather passed away. He was an usher at Neyland for nearly 40 years, from the late 60s til the mid 2000s and was a true VFL. One of my favorite memories in life was watching the 4th quarter of Peyton's last home game after he was done ushering. He came down and sat with me and my wife and we watched Peyton lead the band. He was 82. Thanks VN.

sorry for your loss

May the Lord grant you the strength to endure, and the joy to know you'll be reunited one day when your work on this earth is done. Sounds like he was a quality man from our greatest generation. They just don't make them that way anymore. Prayers for you and your family. God bless.

I lost my Grandfather a couple of years ago, and he was the greatest man I've known. I miss him but find comfort in his security that was offered through the grace of our God and Savior. Prayers your way, brother.

Prayers for you bro. Your one of my fav posters. Hope all is well.

Your grandfather was so lucky to be a part of Neyland during all of those wonderful years of UT football, and I'm glad you shared that moment with us about Manning leading the band. Seems like when we went to games with our grandfathers, those are the memories that we hold on and cherish above all others.
I'll say a prayer for you and your family.

Fade you have aggravated me a lot on VolNation, but so has everyone else at times.

Life is a wonderful gift from our LORD. It is great to have fond memories of a loved one.
I have ask the LORD to use his life and death to bless your family.

Fade I am in my 70's now, death is not an enemy to be feared anymore, its a doorway to the life I have always wanted. I pray that it was so for your grandfather.

If I ever gig you on the board, just remember:

"You are my brother, and I love you in the LORD"
