I mostly lurk, but I happen to like your posts. ;)

Lost my Papaw over the weekend, as well. Thoughts and prayers, brother.

Very sorry for your loss. I lost my Papaw over 15 years ago and I can still feel the loss at times. My prayers for you and your family that God will grant you all peace in this time of grief.

VN, I'm well aware that I'm not everyone's most beloved poster, but I am requesting prayers today. I found out just a couple of hours ago that my grandfather passed away. He was an usher at Neyland for nearly 40 years, from the late 60s til the mid 2000s and was a true VFL. One of my favorite memories in life was watching the 4th quarter of Peyton's last home game after he was done ushering. He came down and sat with me and my wife and we watched Peyton lead the band. He was 82. Thanks VN.

Very sorry for your loss, Fade. We can fight and claw each but in the end, we're all Vols. So just cherish those memories you mentioned above.

Sounds like your Grandfather was a great man and a true Vol supporter. He influenced you for the good - made you a Volunteer and a man who knows the power of prayer... when my Dad died, a wise man told me that I should plan to never "get over" it just cherish his memory the rest of my life. Good luck in your future FADE - you were blessed and glad you are a fellow Volunteer.
