VN, I'm well aware that I'm not everyone's most beloved poster, but I am requesting prayers today. I found out just a couple of hours ago that my grandfather passed away. He was an usher at Neyland for nearly 40 years, from the late 60s til the mid 2000s and was a true VFL. One of my favorite memories in life was watching the 4th quarter of Peyton's last home game after he was done ushering. He came down and sat with me and my wife and we watched Peyton lead the band. He was 82. Thanks VN.

It's one of the most difficult things to lose a grandparent. I lost my grandfather almost 9 years ago due to bone cancer and I miss him more each and every day that goes by. Fade, I will pray for you and your family. God bless.

His generation is the last of rugged individualism. This generation believed a handshake to be as good as a written one. They believed in God country and family..not me first. My prayers to you and yours.

Prayers sent for you and your family. Seeing this thread is the true meaning of VFL. We don't always agree, but when the chips are down we can count on one another.
