Realistically I think the talk right now of getting a new coach is stupid.

Having said that, just for the fun of it hypothetically I think there's no way in hell we're ever getting Gruden or Kelly. Do you make them say no? Sure, why not but not publicly! However if it were me, I would absolutely back the truck up to Gary Patterson's house and give him a blank check! What that guy has managed to accomplish at TCU is amazing. He doesn't recruit top 5 classes. Yet he's only undefeated and ranked 3rd in the country! I would absolutely put the full court press on him and basically say "name your price."
