Completely disagree. I didn't see anything wrong with what he said at all. I don't see any way one could construe that as "making light" of what happened. That content was more about recovery, strength and resolve, imo.

As mentioned before there is plenty of legitimate stuff in which to criticize the president; this is not.

That clip you posted was only a portion of what he said. He absolutely talked about the victims, mentioning a few by name.

Also, the part of the speech in that clip also had direct relation to the victims - speaking of strength, resolve and not being defeated.

I think it's a bit ridiculous to bash him for something he actually did very, very well.

I heard the speech in the car. Seemed fine to me. The point was to honor those killed or hurt but also to say that the terrorists will never win. Seems entirely appropriate to me.

the first executive order listed here, 10990, was signed by Kennedy and has nothing to do with a federal takeover of US transportation systems

in the future, if you're going to criticize Obama, find something legitimate and not just copy and paste the email you got from your cousin

It's still in affect.....and this has nothing to do with Obama. This has been around for 30 years.

the executive order has nothing to do with seizing control of US transportation systems

The first executive order the email lists and attributes to Obama is 10990, which John F. Kennedy signed in 1962. The order reestablished a council to oversee safety of civilian federal employees. It did not — as the email claims — allow a government takeover of the nation’s seaports, highways and other modes of transportation.

Gerald Ford signed the last executive order listed, 11921, which updated how various federal departments and agencies prepare and respond to national emergencies. For example, the order tasked the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration with a plan to protect the fishing industry.
