What is speculation? "The cost of freedom is high?" That is NOT speculation. I haven't speculated as to the movies or who/what group may have been behind it; just that as much as I sincerely hate the loss of life (especially innocent civilians), freedom is worth more than anything bigger government and less liberty can possibly prevent.

When we will we as free Americans stop allowing ourselves to be sub-categorized as libertarian, republican, or democrat. It's time we say enough us enough and stand our ground against this tyrannical government. We choose to let ourselves be held hostage by " fiscal cliffs" and "budget committee's". When do we remember that in a democracy the politicians listen to the people, not the other way around. As for today's events, I hope they find the SOB and hang him by his toe nails from the green monster in Fenway park.

Now in a few weeks if they deem this "work place violence" then I'll have a problem.

Why the laughter? Does it not make you sick that Americans are blaming the opposite side of the aisle than the one they are on? Today is such a tragedy, especially now, knowing that one of the victims who passed away was an 8 year old boy, it is absolutely sickening to me. My prayers are with the victims friends and families.

Speculating that there will be any direct loss of freedom resulting from this incident. Saying or insinuating such a notion is pure speculation.

There will be random stops and bag searches in Boston tomorrow. I count that as a loss of freedom.

I'm just now seeing the footage on tv as opposed to an iPhone....I wonder how many people had their eardrums ruptured? I noticed runners immediately grabbed their ears as well as some security

Right...and, thank God for the Statie who harassed, patted down, berated, and searched the bag of a 16-18 year old kid who was riding his skateboard a mile and a half away and a good four hours after the explosions because, and I quote, "You are smiling too much. Nobody else is smiling. Why are you smiling?". And, of course, this "common sense" Statie found nothing in in the kid's bag.

Now, these same jackasses are going to be given this discretionary authority for at least another day, if not two or three.

Not sure about the rest of you, but that sounds an awful lot like the TSA to me...
