Explosion in Boston?

And that is where your analogy runs right off the tracks.

There is evidence one of them is Muslim. OK.

Where is the evidence that they were adamantly set on blowing up Americans?

Like I say, there may well be a link. Its also certainly entirely possible that they had more than one motivation, i.e. one of them may have fancied himself a lone wold
Islamic jihadist. Maybe we will find out they
were an AQ sleeper cell.

All of that is possible. I guess it just irks me when folks seem actually kind of giddy, or taking delight in, an Islamic link. You seem smugly happy about it, which I find odd.

I just woke up and am catching up but they just said the younger kid had a Russian Facebook page that states he is Muslim and the older brother was full blown extremist. them blowing things up is your proof. my take is older brother brainwashed the younger brother.

Get warrants? I'll say this, they wouldn't search my home without one no matter the circumstance.

I imagine that they had a warrant for the residence of the two suspects; and, further, I imagine that others are willingly allowing the police to come in and sweep their residences.

I cannot imagine that these LEOs are giving two ****s about any narcotics or recreational drugs they are coming across. I say that and I am not a fan of LE.

True but it is about principle.

What is the principle?

"Sir - we have reason to suspect a armed and dangerous terrorist is in the immediate 1-mile radius. We are doing a door to door sweep to locate him and make sure he does not have any hostages. Do you mind if we take a quick look around?"

"Do you have a warrant?"

"No sir - but everyone's life in the immediate area is in danger."

"Get a d*mn warrant?"

Some principles you have.

Amazing to me that CNN displays an article when you click on a link that says "Who are they? What we know" and they do not even mention that either of the brothers were apparently Muslim in the article. I would have to say it is at least relevant information at this point.

I don't know what they are reporting on the TV network, but I can't find any mention of either of them being Muslim on their website. IMO, hard to call yourselves an unbiased news source when you blatantly don't report key details.

Predictable

They're going door to door checking homes... without warrants.

Gotta love a police state.

I'm not up on the content of current executive orders and other constitutionally overriding legislation...is that even legal?

I don't take issue with individuals requiring that LE produce a warrant. I'd imagine there are very few, if any, that are not willingly cooperating, though.

I also imagine they have a magistrate on standby in order to quickly authorize warrants if need be; but, I would imagine those warrants are pretty specific as to what the LE may search for and what they may take an official account of (not narcotics).

That is a tweet from someone affiliated with Anonymous. Or a wannabe. Hardly credible.

From what CNN has told me Anonymous is nothing more than a by-the-book government authority front-house. They're basically just shills of the government.

Side-note: I love how an Anon's tweet is trusted here but a Boston University publication isn't.

Confirmation bias: Full effect.

Where was the BU publication not trusted?

My point.

What's up with the controlled det at the suspect's apartment? Reason given: officer safety. But, didn't they already go in there and bring the wife and child out?
