Explosion in Boston?

Did Christianity drive Eric Rudolph?

Yes. And your point is?...that the one major Christian driven terrorist act(s) of the last 20 years somehow equals out the playing field with the dozens upon dozens (if not in the hundreds) of Islamic ones?

I don't equate an abortion clinic bombing/shooting to an entire religion. Attempting to do so takes an extremely narrow view and ignores all kinds of factors. You want simple answers where they do not exist

if a couple posts taint your view of an entire forum then you are no better than those you ridicule

No, it is not that simple. Attempting to oversimplify this is just another attempt to avoid thinking.

Crack open your dusty old philosophy text books and reacquaint yourself with Occam's razor. Again, over complication is a defense mechanism when unable to grasp/handle/comprehend the truth.

Oversimplification and generalization are the defense mechanisms of the lazy.

Abortion clinic bombings and the murder of clinic doctors/workers (while not necessarily all connected to religion) are almost always Christian motivated in this country. We can think what we want about abortion, but there's no denying these assaults are terrorism.

Islamic....

Growing up in a war zone...?

Kid is 19. Chechen Wars from 1994-2006. If they are Chechen, then I think such an experience when growing up could play a larger factor than Islam, in that such an experience might psychologically predispose an individual in such a way that any extreme ideology will easily work on them in a way that exploits and uses them as a tool. Whether radical Christianity, radical Islam, radical Hinduism, etc.

Why limit it to 20 years? Is this because you know that if you extend to 30, you have to include Ireland and Northern Ireland?

We're all grasping at straws at this point, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if a narrative like that develops about these guys.

I've actually read Ockham. I'm acquainted with what it is he is saying, and it is not a plea to jump to oversimplified conclusions.

Just a side note but these idiots probably just gave justification for Putin to do whatever the hell he wants to in Chechnya.

Right. It's a possibility. But there's a history of Chechens and radical Islam. So it's obviously not something that can be dismissed at the moment.
