We barely beat garbage sec teams that other sec teams blew out, that’s the problem.

OP, so when does it make sense for us to actually complain. Please help me understand. Five years and Vanderbilt just ran us out of our own house. When is it OK to complain in your opinion? You like mediocre. You’re comfortable with it. You’re not a champion. We’re not champions and aren’t going to be anytime soon with this staff.

If you feel like Tennessee is not taking the necessary steps then don’t watch. That doesn’t mean you’re not a fan. It means you protect your sanity.

If enough people stop watching then Danny White will certainly address that.

We just have to accept that Tennessee is mediocre football with 100k plus stadium with a big win every now and then, if you can’t you're a negavol. Whoever came up with that saying is probably not a successful person.

I am getting tired too. This "year 5" and "ceiling" stuff is absurd. The SEC is manically competitive and getting more so every year. Florida runs through coaches like washing a car and for those old enough to remember the Vols were in that twilight zone state for years after firing Fulmer which was a huge mistake.

There will need to be an adjustment period to the 9 game SEC schedule which guarantees that 10 - 12 win seasons will be less in the future. No one knows when a team or program will have the correct chemistry and talent to have a special season so the "ceiling" talk with relation to coaching staffs is idiotic. Josh Heupel, I am sure, will make changes if he sees an opportunity to upgrade but anyone predicting that Josh cannot win a major championship at Tennessee is wallowing in a mindless funk. The man is a super coach and program builder and next to General Neyland - the most brilliant hire in Tennessee football history. Just chill out and allow for a rebuilding type year and let the squad mature. The team with a bowl win will be 9-4 which is a solid season and about what most tans considered as the upper level of wins in 2025.

lol, your post is insane (by that I mean idiotic). A year five being called a rebuild.

The whole “look what we were fire years ago” talk is over. We are past that. Look at what Georgia had to do to get over the hump.

we, generally, aren’t saying fire JH. We are saying hold staff responsible aka Tim Banks.

No one expected to have those type of games. I can live with the offensive side of the ball (minus tonight), but no one thought the defense would be this bad this year in every game.
