Anyone paying real attention to this team knows they’ve been handicapped from even the off-season.

Fire Banks ? Maybe. he’s earned that this season if he does get canned. No excuses. You have to do better and he screwed himself by not getting any real transfer on defense after letting a bunch go.

But Heupel don’t have the damn sense to adjust his offensive philosophy to help the defense out, either. The offense scored 3 points in the 2nd half??? Come on man!

There’s tons of work to do even after season 5.
We all knew this after the Syracuse game. Right? First game of the season.

Quit calling for people to be fired. Damn. Every year. Every single year. YOU PEOPLE cry over the same lame stuff. And ask for people to be fired.

If you feel like Tennessee is not taking the necessary steps then don’t watch. That doesn’t mean you’re not a fan. It means you protect your sanity.

If enough people stop watching then Danny White will certainly address that.

All I know is that today's loss will certainly affect the attendance of the bowl game. Not sure how much that comes back to hurt Tennessee financially, but I imagine it will be noted by Danny Whte.

You are part of the problem. You accept being mediocre and always make excuses for a poor product on the field. You always try to sunshine pump everything.

It’s year five man. I’m not by any means saying fire CJH, but quit with the bs. There is zero excuse for what we are doing on the field.

We are barely beating a bunch of nobody’s and losing to every somebodies.

We are garbage this year, just as bad as your post.

OP, what you fail to understand is that we are in the SEC. The coaches know when they take the job that they better contend or they will be moving on. It's been five years now. It's time to fish or cut bait.

People are legitimately upset and expressing their passion for the team they love and are being fairly tame, for volnation standards, considering we suffered a second half boat race to vandy in our own house.

And yeah..it's a message board for the vols. What are we supposed to do?

The reason so many of the same complain is because it’s been par for the course. Oh sure, we’ve turned into winning seasons with Heupel…but when do we start competing for championships…not losing to Vandy…not being the standard on defense that allowed so many bad teams to score in the 30s on us?!? If you’re a young Vol, I get it…it’s better than what you were dealt. But to us older Vols, this is embarrassing as a product. We should be feared…Neyland should be feared. Now it’s a 3 loss at home team. Don’t settle, demand greatness! I’m pissed as everyone should be. Ask Heupel tough questions and don’t take BS avoidance by him. We just lost to Vandy and Pavia at home…45-24! Never should happen.

I avidly stick up for Heupel. This game made me sick. No excuse to be non-competitive vs Vandy in the 2nd half even if they are like the oldest CFB team in history lol.

What I don’t understand is how all summer long and then again since our first loss this season, these same people were saying 7-5 8-4 at best. Saying Vandy would beat us. Well here we are. You didn’t expect any better. 8-4 was this teams ceiling all along,right? So what’s the big deal. I’m definitely not excusing today. In just saying, yall said 8-4 ceiling all along and we reached that ceiling. So we met or even exceeded expectations. What’s the problem.
