Even More Obamacare Follies

I hate to laugh at this situation but damn, can't they get anything right?

Woman cited by President as Obamacare success story frustrated by sign up process – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

She is sorry Obama mentioned her during the October 21 speech.
"I feel awful about it. I support (the Affordable Care Act)," Sanford said.
But the messy rollout in the other Washington, the nation's capital, was not far from her mind.
"What the hell? Why is it the same story as the federal government?" Sanford says in disgust with the Washington state exchange. "They didn't have it ready."
"They screwed up," she added.
Sanford reiterated her frustration in a post to the Washington HealthPlanFinder's Facebook page last Friday.
"Wow. You guys really screwed me over," Sanford wrote. "Now I have been priced out and will not be able to afford the plans you offer. But, I get to pay $95 and up for not having health insurance. I am so incredibly disappointed and saddened. You majorly screwed up.

Sanford, an Obama supporter who voted for the president twice, is careful to say she blames the state of Washington's online marketplace for the mixed signals and not the White House.

He acts like the sole problem is the site & not being able to sign up. Lol ok

the site is actually doing him a favor. Just wait until people get a look at the real numbers being pushed out with this thing. It will get worse

You are amazed at this after seeing LG come in here daily and spewing forth what he does?

I don't believe LG is serious. He simply regurgitates the Dem talking points and they're easily refuted. If he is serious then his clients better hope he settles their case and isn't forced to argue their guilt/innocence.

Just wait until the employer mandate kicks in and all those people working at Microsoft and Google get letters that their employer based insurance is being cancelled.

He certainly knows how to get a conversation going lol

Not having the pay system / accounting set up seems huge. That, from my little experience, takes a significant amount of time, especially if it's open to the public. I'm guessing they haven't even thought of security.

And it appears most of the Obama supporters are complaining because it's not as free as they want it to be. Not because it's going to cost everybody else money.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/20/u...-plated-insurance-exchange.html?smid=tw-share

While millions of Americans have been left to fend for themselves and go through the frustrating experience of trying to navigate the federal exchange, members of Congress and their aides have all sorts of assistance to help them sort through their options and enroll.

Lawmakers and the employees who work in their “official offices” will receive coverage next year through the small-business marketplace of the local insurance exchange, known as D.C. Health Link, which has staff members close at hand for guidance.

“D.C. Health Link set up shop right here in Congress,” said Eleanor Holmes Norton, the delegate to the House from the nation’s capital.

Lawmakers can select from 112 options offered in the “gold tier” of the District of Columbia exchange, far more than are available to most of their constituents.

Aetna is offering eight plan options to members of Congress, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield is offering 16. Eight are available from Kaiser Permanente, and 80 are on sale from the UnitedHealth Group.

Lawmakers and their aides are not eligible for tax credit subsidies, but the government pays up to 75 percent of their premiums, contributing a maximum of $5,114 a year for individual coverage and $11,378 for family coverage. The government contribution is based on the same formula used for most other federal employees.

Outrageous. Where is my pitchfork

No they haven't. They're idiots too.

I agree.... Why in the hell do they think a one year delay in the "keep your plan if you like it" BS will benefit anyone. No republicans voted for the POS legislation and they should let everyone get canceled and see what a cluster fluck the law actually is rather than put off the inevitable a year. It's as if they're trying to sabotage their chances at taking back control in 2014

The leadership of the GOP are buffoons. It's almost like they enjoy being kicked in the nuts.

Well I mean they did also hire ex cons to deal with the peoples personal info. The basics of Internet security seem to be lost on them.
