Even More Obamacare Follies

Obamacare is simply a jobs bill. It will create lots of part-time jobs around this nation. We'll now have 2 people working 20hrs/wk instead of one selfish person hogging 40hrs/wk. All about redistribution

But Pj according to the Bureau Of Labor Statistics we are enjoying more leisure time than a generation ago. Shouldn't we be thanking Obama for all of this "time off"?

don't have to work as much when you're collecting a govt check to stay home. Instead of a tax bill I should get a thank you card

I just love how they promote the "more leisure time" as a good thing.

I'm thinking of pulling my money out of the bank and burying it in the backyard, quitting my job and signing up for welfare......this MF is goin' fishin'

No surprise but this thing is a complete trainwreck. The ultimate kicker though is that the people charged with enforcing it are trying to get out of being subject to it.

Throw in Social Security, Medicare and it's just par for the course.

Funny how the ruling elite exempts themselves from their own programs.

Obamacare Full Frontal: Of 953,000 Jobs Created In 2013, 77%, Or 731,000 Are Part-Time | Zero Hedge

When the payroll report was released last month, the world finally noticed what we had been saying for nearly three years: that the US was slowly being converted to a part-time worker society. This slow conversion accelerated drastically in the last few months, and especially in June, when part time jobs exploded higher by 360K while full time jobs dropped by 240K. In July we are sad to report that America's conversation to a part-time worker society is not "tapering": according to the Household Survey, of the 266K jobs created (note this number differs from the establishment survey), only 35% of jobs, or 92K, were full time. The rest were... not.

They pass a law the whine because the law applies to them..then change the law to exempt themselves. utterly ridiculous..... If they think it is good enough for me and my family it definitely is good enough for the morons that voted it into law.

I am for and believe we do need to reform our healthcare/medical insurance in this country. The more that comes out about the ACA the worse it gets.

This thing is going to be law at least until the GOP keeps control of the House, win the Presidency and wins a filibuster proof Senate . Instead of voting 40 times to repeal it knowing it is dead in the Senate, Congress needs to sit down with the WH and try to improve this thing before it goes into effect in January.
It is the law of the land, accept it and fix it. That is the only reasonable option Congress has at this point, repair this piece of garbage

It is broken beyond repair! Does the insurance companies pay to fix a totaled car? No, it is scrapped and you start over. The fix is going to cost more than it is worth.

Scrapping and starting over is not going to happen. Obama and the Senate will not allow that to happen. There has to be a few things Congress and the White House can agree on to improve this thing. Tweaking it is the best option. It is time for some last hour governing on this law.

You are saying it will cost too much to repair. How much is it going to cost to keep in place as is?

The people that enacted this law need to spend the rest of their lives in prison. The people that just got exempted from the exchanges also need to spend the rest of their lives in prison. These people are enemies to America and what this country stands for. We most likely will see an uprising against the government in our lifetime. America is reaching a boiling point.

that's not the way they think. DC pols are the ruling elite and do not operate under the same rules. They are smarter than you. They are allowed to break/avoid rules and laws simply because of the job they have. The ones putting them in office are also beneficiaries of these entitlements

Obamacare is going to bring us down? No, it's the people who concocted it who are doing the real damage

The fix for staffers isn't so bad on it's face but it's the optics of the only things Congress can get done are things that help them directly - screw the rest of us.

Doesn't help that the POTUS is playing small ball to score political points rather than showing any leadership on anything.

I disagree 100%. They passed the law and are now complaining when it comes time to abide by it. Brain drain? For real?

Where's their concern for their constituents? You think smaller businesses won't face the same type of problems?

This ruling class versus regular citizen mentality is dangerous...and it's getting worse.

We have to suck it up and pay for the load of horse s**T they passed...and now we're going to subsidize them b/c they are worried about the consequences.
