Chipper did a good job being cryptic enough to spark a conversation. I don’t think he was referring to us. He is probably disgusted at the gators with his positive comments of Coastal.

He is not perfect at all. None of us are but he played the game the right way and after he retired he got affiliated with the Duck Commander guys in some hunting ventures. Not a bad group to be around.

He is welcome to speak his mind, and people are welcome to express their opinion about his dumb opinion.

I think it’s exhausting to constantly hear whining about the sport of baseball and this purity test it has to pass. College baseball, and baseball in general, has never been more popular and it’s because people are waking up to the idea that it doesn’t have to present itself as holier than any other sport.

I find it ironic that the most popular sport in America is basically one step removed from gladiatorial combat, and that the most people sport in Canada is one that encourages two guys beating the hell out of each other on an ice rink, but we love to make a stink about some kids skipping around the bases or screaming after a big strikeout.
