Being that the Heisman is roughly equivalent to college football's MVP award, I don't think that it's too much of a stretch to consider Berry, even with his less than stellar statistical season. Honestly, how many players in this country affect the opposing team as much as Berry does? Offenses are forced to scheme under, over, and around him depending on where he is lined up on a particular play. This doesn't make his numbers outstanding, but it sure as hell makes him one of the most valuable players to his team in the nation.
I also like how he's currently beating out one or two of the players that ESPN has provided on their list. Some people get what EB's all about.
