ESPN Poll let's vote (Berry 4 Heisman)

I think this tard's email address should be sent out to all Vols fans so that we can all clog up his inbox. No one disrespects Eric Berry like that!

If I could confirm this is the guy responsible I'd start a thread with his email address asking everyone to send a note to him.

not that this comes as a surprise, but it sounds more and more like Berry plans on leaving after this year:

"According to Elam, Tennessee assistant coach Eddie Gran, who has been handling his recruiting for the Volunteers, told Elam how he could fit in at UT with an expected personnel blow the Volunteers will take with the early departure of one of their superstar players on defense.

“He said I would have an opportunity to step in and take Eric Berry’s slot because he’s leaving,” said Elam, whose older brother Abram, plays safety for the New York Jets.

Elam has admitted competing for immediate playing time “was a concern” but if what Gran told him proves to be true, he would have a chance to fill the slot left by Berry, a consensus all-American for whom UT has mounted a Heisman campaign."

hate to see him go if this pans out. :shakehead:

Berry should go. There really is no good reason to stay. I don't think UT is ready to compete for anything special by next year, so no reason to risk a stupid injury.

Yeah, you are right. The guy is a stud safety and will make major $$.

A little surprised our coaching staff is letting the cat out of the bag to flighty recruits, but hey, you gotta pitch the best scenario you can to get guys like Elam.

Berry -- We Salute You! Thanks for all that you have done for the program.

I sent an email to the guy asking why it isn't in alphabetical order.
We need to get out the vote--Berry is falling like a rock. VOTE!!!

If they had him on the regular list we wouldn't have to worry about the write-in's being counted correctly.

I even wrote in Crompton a couple of times...why you might ask...well let me tell you. He needs confidence and what is going to give you more confidence then seeing your name on a Heisman list.

If he is on there I would find a way to make sure he saw it

anyone else going to vote for Crompton???

How does a guy who is viewed by most in the country as the best defensive football player in college football need more recognition? lol

Berry hasn't had anywhere near a Heisman type season production wise.

Let it die already. He's going to be a 1st team All American and a Top 5 pick. That's plenty.

Being that the Heisman is roughly equivalent to college football's MVP award, I don't think that it's too much of a stretch to consider Berry, even with his less than stellar statistical season. Honestly, how many players in this country affect the opposing team as much as Berry does? Offenses are forced to scheme under, over, and around him depending on where he is lined up on a particular play. This doesn't make his numbers outstanding, but it sure as hell makes him one of the most valuable players to his team in the nation.

I also like how he's currently beating out one or two of the players that ESPN has provided on their list. Some people get what EB's all about.
