Even that is too early to tell. The guy's only a rookie.
Look at the difference between Flacco last seaon and this pre-season. Leaps and bounds better.
As petty as it may sound I believe the Jets HC has a personality conflict with Ainge. He knows he's decent, but because of the formentioned Ainge will be the last option...what a tool...only a tool like that would be in the job after Favre killed this team...go Phins.Wasn't impressed with Clemons play tonight.
Freeman will be a starter in the near future IMO.
Just for the record, I hate the Jets and Trojans so i'm not pulling for him in any way. But the kid can ball.
I'm guessing that the poster is still a young guy. Perhaps he will improve as he posts more. It is amazing to me how much good writing has fallen off in the last ten years or so, although I couldn't give a reason for this.

He's currently the #3 guy in Tampa. Doubtful that your prediction will come true.
There is slight chance that they could cut McCown (so they can keep Josh Johnson). If that happens, and Leftwich gets hurt, then Freeman might have a chance to see the field this year.
Also, who is Eric Ainge?
It baffles me that you guys actually make such a big freaking deal if someone spells something wrong.
There are a few NFL teams that Ainge could start for. I look for Eric to be traded soon. Maybe a backup this year but he starts somewhere next year IMO. Right now, Ainge is better than the QBs for the 49ers, Dolphins, Broncos, Browns, Bucs, Colts--(joke).
You're joking right? Just making sure.
I would take the starting quarterback of every one of those teams before I took a chance on Erik Ainge.
And probably most of their backups.
I try to avoid making a big deal out of it unless the misspelled word is in a comment that insults the intelligence of a poster, fan base, group of people, etc.
At that point the irony overwhelms my good nature.
