Eric Gray received improper benefits (rumor )

The timing of this is awfully peculiar. It smells like UT, ie boosters, are looking for a way to get rid of Pruitt and cuff Fulmer's hands. Everyone knows this goes on at every school. If they can find cause, perhaps they can leverage it to get rid of Pruitt and discount his buyout without involving Fulmer.

Oh no! Hopefully we don’t have to vacate our 3 wins 🙄
Really? Our only bright spot of this season and that is your response. Lets hope this is a small thing and he is not kicked out of school or off the team. These are rumors and probably have some substance but we need talent like Gray, a Tennessee kid at that.

We;ll need another house cleaning whether it is this year or sometime next season it is going to happen. We may need to whittle down the money we owe Pruitt but he isn't going to be the answer so whenever we decide is the only thing that is on the menu.

Yeah because that makes great sense. Bringing the NCAA on to the scene is a great recipe for getting a top flight coach in here. Do you guys even think this stuff through?

The NCAA isn't here, yet. Tennessee is conducting an internal investigation, it is getting out in front of this so the NCAA doesn't get involved.

Yeah this is all rubbing me the wrong way. I understand they are trying to fire Pruitt with cause but they know the game... The compliance office should be helping the coaches/boosters avoid getting caught. This is yet again another example of institutional dysfunction.
I hate that kind of answer. Yes, there is cheating for sure, but it reflects the sad state of our society to think cheating should be covered up.
