Hey, Tebows a good kid and a great role model for kids. Bashing him and wishing ill will on him makes you look like "a tool". I am a diehard Vols fan and lothe the gators, but I wish there were more Tebows playing the game and less "thugs" like pacman and vick.
I agree. Tim Tebow is a Gator, and a rabid one. That's about the worst I can say about him.
He's also a Christian, and by all accounts, a model one, and a model son, and a model student, and a model athlete, etc, etc, etc.
Got no problem with Tim Tebow. None at all. I'm still a UT fan, but I'm also a Tim Tebow fan. Tim is all about what's right, in the middle of "what's wrong with college football".
"Role models" are hard to come by in college football, and all but extinct in the NFL.
Give Tim Tebow the credit he is due.
And Go Vols.

I'm annoyed that Berry wasn't recognized by the Thorpe voters for his terrific season. Individual awards don't mean much in the scheme of things, but I don't understand how Berry doesn't win this - unless the committee put upperclassman as the key criterion. Perhaps winning record was important to them - but you must admit that is odd for individual awards.
I'm not screaming at ESPN, because it isn't their decision. I'm just confused by this result...and would have liked for Eric to be recognized for what he is doing out there. I feel like he tried to carry this team at times out there...and they didn't reward him with wins...this would have at least been a crappy consolation for him...and he didn't even get that.

This idiot Terrell Buckley was saying the Thorpe trophy goes to the most versatile player In his opinion ... HELLO EVER HEARD OF ERIC BERRY he scored over 75% of the time he got a turnover. He led the FBS in Interceptios and you give it to this guy....WOW fine next year Thorpe award and HEISMAN>>>>>>>>>>> It was ESPN afterall we know they hate Tennessee. GO VOLS
"This is something I've had my eye on for some time," Jenkins said. "And it's not just about stats. If it was, I wouldn't be here. It's about leadership, and setting an example, too. You can't imagine what this means to me. I was a semifinalist last year, and I've wanted to win it ever since."
Screw the stupid Big 10 college football popularity contests represented by all these bogus awards. It's the same Big 10 bias that keeps sending 2 of their teams to BCS games every year so the SEC and Pac 10 (mostly USC) can spank them.
Berry will get his justice for being THE superior player in the same way Peyton has.
First, in the NFL draft, when he's rewarded with more $$ and then in years thereafter as he's selected for Pro Bowls by his peers.
The League will set things right for this Vol legend in the making and for the years of devotion and work he has given to perfect his game.
EB... you represent all things good about Tennessee football and you always will. We know that... and we won't forget.
Most importantly, congratulations on your well-earned selction on the Walter Camp All American Team! (yet anothernAA team!):rock2:
Now, get ready to give 'em hell in Spring practice, show your teammates what playing physical means, and let's get the program back on track!
Go Vols!
