Out of protest at DOJ over the order to dismiss the case.

The one in New York clerked for Scalia. She's as conservative as you get. And she says the Trump DOJ officials who met with her on this destroyed notes of their meeting.

How do the board conservatives feel about this ? Heck, she's in the Federalist Society and was appointed by Trump!
You need to head on over to the DOGE thread.

Need to start a lawyer thread.

What do you say when a cruse ship with a thousand lawyers sink? A good start.

My personal opinion of lawyers is pretty low. There's a reason that there is so many of them.

What do you call a lawyer with integrity? Anything but a lawyer.

There are so many because it is the easiest path to financial success for smart people. I could never be one because I couldn't stand the thought that in my entire life, that I would contribute absolutely NOTHING of value to society. But, that's just me.

The crime of telling people to lie to the FBI is an interesting one given the context of some members of Congres telling people how to lie to ICE, and trick them.

And if I am reading this correctly this wasn't the only thing he was being investigated for. Still curious to see what the charges are.
Very nice and logical thinking. However, I think congress has exempted itself being held to the standards of the ordinary citizen.

This happens EVERY time a new President comes in. The democrats just don’t talk about it. It is wink wink nudge nudge

You want to cite a previous scenario where a democrat-appointed AG has instructed AUSAs to drop a prosecution, so the subject of the investigation can aid the president in implementing political policy?

So the „resigned“ before they got fired (which was coming shortly, regardless of any cases). It is the government equivalent of „You can‘t fire me, I QUIT“. And then used the opportunity to virtue signal their „resistance“ to their duly elected boss who could fire them at Will.

So you're going with the "you can't quit because you're fired" spin?

Interesting.

Do you want to provide the evidence of your claim in the earlier post, or just go full partisan oblivious on this one?

Since we are so insistent on sourcing, can you show me where in the memo this reported claim is made? Or I am to simply trust the reporting?

I didn’t see this referenced in above’s response letter to the AG who resigned. (Text is in The NY Times, I tried to link it in earlier post but it pulls up here behind a paywall.)

It was dismissed without prejudice. That important note keeps getting left out by the resident vocalists.

Fair. I think this copy only had the first of the two complaints, but I see at least that one.

When I read Bove’s response to the AG resignation letter, (NY Times), he seemed to lay out a different case for the dismissals. That is why I was interested in whether or not anyone had a copy of the actual memo.

I’d like to see the memo, rather than either sides recitation of the memo’s contents.

When both sides have the memo, but neither release it, (rather they release their own interpretation of the memo), I don’t trust either of them to be accurate.

Let the memo speak for itself.

The memo from Bove is available as well

Here’s how I feel. Adams walked the company line, oligarch happy. Adams challenges the oligarch…charges brought up. That’s how I feel.

If not for the utter dysfunction and blatant disregard for the Constitution by Trump & Co, this would be headline news for the next month. But it's just one more case of absolute corruption and illegal actions by this Administration. They've conditioned people to accept this ******** as normal.
Don’t think you understand “corruption”.

Gov. Kathy Hochul doesn’t rule out Removing Eric Adams From Office following allegations NYC mayor was involved in ‘quid pro quo’ with DOJ

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday night didn’t rule out removing Mayor Eric Adams from office after allegations emerged that the feds would drop their criminal case against Hizzoner in exchange for his help with President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

Hochul, the only official in the state who has the power to boot Adams from his position, revealed on MSNBC that she’s consulting with officials about the mayor’s future.

Anyone willing to wager this doesn’t happen - I’m offering odds

“Quid pro quo”? Isn’t that exactly how politics work?

Unrelated to anything here but I hate this thread title. It could so easily have been "Eric Adams" or "Eric Adams Case"

I don't believe I expressed any. Seemed like he had engaged in plenty of sketchy shenanigans.

Of course, Trump orders us to look the other way since Adams has now promised that he will try to make Trump look good.
Look good or cooperate? There is a difference.

Agreed.

Also unrelated. As a Non-MAGA, Why do you think the Feds went after Eric Adams to begin with?

Because they believe in the rule of law and justice is blind?

Or because Adams pushed back against the Biden admin and the democrat party in large regarding illegal immigration among other issues?

Or option C. Whatever that could be.
