Don't twist words, are you looking for an out? Bringing the players into this is, must mean you are looking for an out or totally wanting to blame the Staff and Coach.
Didn't say that what we have on the field wasn't the Coaches fault.
I do believe that The path that we are at today is/was the path paved by the Administrators of our Football Program and others.
Don't get bent outta shape..... I actually agree with you insofar as your argument goes....
HOWEVER.... Once the players hit the field the responsibility for those players executing whatever it is they're supposed to execute falls squarely on the coaches. Period.
I'll agree with you that the administration is guilty of hiring "on the cheap" but the things that TN is failing at doing are SIMPLE. ELEMENTARY. FOOTBALL. And the responsibility for that failure lays at Jeremy Pruitt's feet and his alone. The fact that the simple things aren't getting done has nothing to do with the administration. Never mind the apparent lack of development and the outright regression in some cases.
When we start seeing Chancellor Plowman out there coaching RBs I'll change my tune. Until then? This is on CJP....
Do you think CJP has adopted a philosophy of my way or the highway with players and coaches?

Maybe the players were told what to do numerous times and forgot. The A. Taylor thing is not something you would think the coaches told him to do....Press coverage instead of Prevent.
What the heck was Warrior thinking on the same play? Just tackle the player at the 40 yard line. These things are taught in practice different story if it doesn't sink in at game time.
Blaming the adm and expecting it to change is like buying a new car that has problems, and calling The company president in Detroit and expect it to be fixed. Me, I go to the dealer I bought it from and expect results.
Honestly?? I have no idea what the devil his philosophy is. What I DO know is that it's not working. I ALSO know that the buck stops with him. He's the one making millions of dollars a year to see to it that the football team lines up properly (among other things they're not doing).
Can all this change? Most assuredly!! WILL it all change? Who knows? But if it doesn't Pruitt is the one that's gonna get his professional head handed to him, sooner rather than later. He's here for the remainder of this season (unless we finish worse than 4-8 in which case all bets are off), and likely will get the '20 season to see if progress can be made. If he makes it through this season and starts 1-3 again next year they'll load the bus and leave him at the podium while he's in the middle of one of his post-game excuse sessions.

Do you think we will do 4-8 or better? I don't. I don't see a team remaining on the schedule that we can beat.
Do I think Pruitt is gone at 1-11?....No
