No my own personal choice was to not give the football program $1 of my money when they announced Butch Jones as head coach.

It was easy to see him for what he was then. But Currie's mentor Hamilton hired him anyway.

That was my choice then, my choice now. Ready to be where I feel comfortable about giving UT football my $$$ again.

Fire him now.

Want to start off saying I dont think a movement or hashtag slogan is necessary and generally speaking a dumb idea.

But it's bigger than that and you know it. Choosing not to go watch a product that you are invested in (financially as well as emotionally) is a personal decision. I realize season tickets are already purchased, but it goes beyond that. That's a small portion of the money I spend every weekend making the trip. Even ignoring concessions, you are talking about merchandise sales, visitors on campus, having the chance to influence future students or even parents. You have that many fewer people setting foot on campus. We are only talking 1 game... there are 3 more home games this could happen.

Money aside it is flat out a BAD look and the people who matter will notice. 40k fewer people traveling to Knoxville for the weekend is a big deal. Plain and simple.

And yes, these hits are nothing compared to the hits they would risk taking by bringing Butch back another year (which i think is 0% chance of happening).

You are correct. It is your choice. Do you think those who have season tickets, but elect to not show up to games are really doing anything? They have already given their money to the AD.

No the stories that are pouring out about Butch Right now, playing players with head injuries, VFL coordinator quitting due to harassment, continued bashing of the incompetence of the administration in the media with the non-action.

The university is looking dumb now.

the whole basis of this thing is "hit them where it hurts, their pocket books".

which just isn't going to happen.

they want to hit the pocket book, then get this supposed 20k strong movement to not donate next year and not renew their season tickets.

until then.....it really doesn't matter, at least to their original battle cry.

that, and jones is going to get fired, regardless.

his body of work speaks volumes and i don't think it's done speaking yet. and in the end, that will have 1000x's more to do with his firing, than anything done on twitter.

Neyland Stadium renovation: $340 million project to start in summer 2018

lol. delusional. and check out where the funding is coming from....donations and athletic department revenue are the two primary places the $340 million is coming from....

yeah, their shakin' in their boots.........

and yes Butch will still get fired.
