Emotionally drained

Is Penn State's D better without Shoop?
Is UT's defense at the bottom of the SEC?
Can any team line up and run on the Vols?
How many times have Vol Defensive backs been burned on the deep ball?
Has Danny Obrien's loss presented much bigger problems than originally anticipated?
Can Butch Jones take a wounded Vol squad to Columbia and beat Muschamp & Co?

Tennessee defense kept them in some games early in the year.. Helped them win them. Now i don't think you can rely on them as much with all these injuries. Haven't stopped the run well all year and get beat over the top repeatedly.. Not a good combo..

Tennessee Offense is inconsistent mess that can't seem to run the ball this year. Hit or miss on Dobbs being accurate on any given Saturday. Offensive line has been bad all year and hasn't been good for the 4 years Jones has been here. This needs addressing in the off season.

Emotionally spent after ATM, i'd say yes.. There were already other problems there though. Like Not being able to stop the run on Defense, and not being able to run on Offense. For whatever reason they're just not calling Dobb's # as much this year. Maybe by design to help him last through the year.

This off week will show us what our team is really about.
Every game we've played has been somewhat an uphill battle. Too many 4 quarter comebacks.

Bama game just finished us emotionally and mentally.

If we come out sloppy against South Carolina, I think we need to change how we are mentally preparing for games.

They have been chging up various things on how they approach games to shake the slow starts. Nothing has worked so far

Untouchable from here on out... will see Bama again.

Not so sure about untouchable, but, the only team who will beat Tennessee before the SEC Championship Game is Tennessee. I want another chance at those stinking elephants SOOOO!!! bad!!!

Yeah a rematch and a final score of something worse than 49-10 would mean so much to our fanbase. If we get a rematch you know Alabama is going to run up the score if they can.

Who took a piss in your cereal? You mean you don't want a chance to play them when we have back almost every player that was out hurt against them last Saturday? Sutton, McDowell, basically the whole offensive line, DKjr, and several others would all be back 100% by then.

And how many others go down by then. We lose at least 2 players a game. And this fan base is delusional to think we could hang with Bama.

Lol what is the matter with you. Go outside, get some sunlight. Go for a jog and get some endorphins going good Lord. You clearly aren't thinking logically. To think that some UT fans would be having essentially suicidal thoughts in a season that we've beaten both Florida and Georgia and we're 5-2 is ridiculous.

East or bust. That's been the goal. Anything more is icing on the cake. This board goes in to full blown Chernobyl after a loss. Guys. Alabama beat our ass. Get over it. They played us beat up. We have been bit by the injury bug at record numbers. All this crying is rediculous. We beat both FLa and uGA. We will be east champs and hopefully we are back to full strength and we can play with anyone. This team took a beating all year. Every game has been an emotional roller coaster. One thing I know for sure. Butch needs to can Debord at the end of the year. No questions asked. His play calling has been atrocious. I realize we are banged up, but coaches who can coach will move the football with inferior talent. Period.

Im all about playing in the SECCG, but why are you so certain all will be back 100% by then? You are aware there are 5 games between now and then right?

Who said anything about suicidal thoughts?

Com me on man. You get what I'm saying. Should I go back and blue font that? 🙄

Sure, just cant stand when people say something the person didnt say as if thats what that person believes.
Its not too far fetched to believe we cant hang with Alabama, there are alot of evidence to back it up. There is also alot of evidence of lunacy in our fanbase. Just look at the threads during the bye week.

Just a quick thought about the emotions, tough schedule and rebounding after the injuries, etc.

I know it might sound silly to anyone who hasn't gone under before, but I wonder if Coach Jones would consider bringing in a clinical hypnotherapist for the players and the coaches to "Now visualize yourself performing at your absolute best, better than you've ever played before, you see yourself really "in the zone" doing the best job possible at your position on each and every play, you see yourself beating Alabama and every other team you play from now on you see yourself as a member of the National Championship winning team because that is your identity as a Tennessee Volunteer football player.

On the count of three you will wake up and dominate every team you play every play for every game the rest of the season and you win the championship because that is who you are and what you do.

One, two, three."

Something like that. Put the power of suggestion to work for the team and get a mental/emotional edge. Has that been tried before?

Gameday cannot get here fast enough. East Tennessee in the fall is great, surely there is something to do during a bye week.
