Election Results Thread

Stop it.

Trump won because of a surge in the white vote. Nothing else.

He proved to be a genius by seeing that an openly racist message was still good enough to win the presidency.

Dude, I don't like Trump either (and I detest his rhetoric), but there's way more to it than that.

Yes, white voters stuck together more than in the past two elections, but Hillary lost a LOT of minority votes that should have carried her in a couple states.

Also, Trump's rhetoric has a lot less to do with many of the white votes he gained than a general distrust and dislike of Hillary in general.

You're making an assumption on the reason so many white people voted for him without having any data to back up what you're saying.

You're oversimplifying it because you're butthurt about being wrong (again lol)

Same with Hillary. It was Moderate A vs Moderate B. She's not nearly as liberal as she pretended to be

I can agree with that. It's hard to tell with her though because she just seems to say whatever she thinks people want to hear. Hard sometimes to decipher her actual belief vs her campaign belief.

the market stuff is a blip. Same thing happened after Brexit and doomsdayers said it was a trend. Bounced back in no time at all.

Buying opportunity IMHO (stocks; not gold that is).

You know what sucks?

Now my spare AR-15s and hi cap mags aren't going to be worth as much...

I try to tell myself no matter what it'll work out. That's what we are based on. Checks and balances, ability to veto, so on and so forth. I think if anything we're to get TOO bad something would happen. I would hope.

2008 there was single party rule for two full years with supermajorities in Congress and the country survived.
