Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

very cool - I started a new character recently in anticipation for the dlc.

I don't find Skyrim very challenging, even on Master level - so I'm playing a nerfed merchant who talks his way out of trouble and hiring people to do the dirty work. Main skills are speechcraft, sneak, and illusion.

He can't wear any chest armor and can't upgrade any combat skills.

It's been pretty fun so far

I have put in about 20 hours into dragonborn. I have also completed the main quest. Buy this dlc!!! Dragonborn has easily given me another 60 to 70 hours of gameplay because of one feature. At the conclusion of the main quest you get to completely remake your character! I got to reset perks that i wasted early on and made my original charcter soooo much stronger. Now the best part. I was getting a little tired of my main character anyway so i also used the perk reset feature to completely redo my original. I now have another main character that attacks foes in a very different manner than before and better utilizes being a vampire. This one feature added by dragonborn has given me extra insintive to put another 20 to 30 hours into my original character. It has also given me basically a new character that attacks foes in a different way that i am excited to use and continue to build. Another 30 hours at least i will be giving to skyrim because of this "new character". I also have the benefit of only being around level 40 so you can imagine how many quests i have left to do with either character i choose to use. Someone else may have completed the majority of the quests and this feature may not be as important though. Some cool new blessings and shouts have been added also. Overall, this is a must get for any skyrim lover! Did i mention, you get to redo perks!? hahaha lol! awesome and much needed feature!

how is it compared to Shivering Isles expansion from Oblivion?

This probably sounds crazy but i wasn't too enamored with the Shivering Isles expansion. I know 90% of the gaming community loved it, but not me. I like Dragonborn better but i am probably not the best person to ask.

anymore thoughts on the newest expansion? Is it better than Dawnguard?

Can someone help me I rode the Dragon to fight the main dragon I guess.....but I keep dieing...is there any way I can fly back down to Skyrim to lvl up my guy more?

no clue - but I love the Dragonborn expansion.

Maybe try lowering the difficulty?

On my latest guy I am a Dark Elf currently level 21. Finished the civil war quest (sided with the Storm Cloaks even though I am a dark elf:p) and am almost done with the Thieves Guild. But I have one question. I have around 36,000 gold and have no idea what to spend it on. I have the house in white run and windhelm. Any ideas?

do you have the Hearthfire expansion? Building your own house would put a good dent in that coin

Other than that, you could just buy a ton of training and level up quick...

Hearthfire has yet to come out for PS3:banghead2: but it will be soon and I am getting it for that reason. I may buy some training though for my lock picking and sneak.

Just whooped up on Mirrak to finish the Dragonborn quest line - the fight was tougher than Alduin, but not by much.

Weaksauce but expected with the next generation console around the corner

Just picked up the Legendary Edition June 4th, first time I've got to play it, just waited for the version with all the dlc. I really enjoy it. Mix up some mean potions and bank on that shiz. I've killed the whole town of Riverwood and didn't mean to. Did something wrong and everyone started coming after me Lol. Lots to do in this game, some petty missions but its a lot of fun. Haven't got to Dragonborn or Dawnguard DLC but I can't wait to murk some vampires.

You assaulted the Sacred Chicken of Riverwood, didn't you?

I just wanted some crispy chicken legs Lol. The little sh*t bird wasn't even right next to anybody or near someone's home. It was great though, I had to murk everyone but a little girl. So once I get to my hearthfire dlc, ill try and adopt her Lol. It's the least I can do.

Happy endings!

Bump.

Thinking about buying the legendary edition tonight. I've never played this or the older one before. I played Fallout 3 and Fable 2 a little bit and some Mass Effect but Fallout was kinda confusing and ME and Fable got boring to me. Am I in over my head or will this RPG be the one I've desperately waited to finally enjoy? I've been skeptical to purchase this game for over a year now but seeing as all the DLC is included this may be the perfect time to buy.

Thoughts?

Buy it. I love this game. I put like 40 hours in a just beat the main quest. There are so many side quests. Also, I have not played the DLCs

They streamlined Skyrim to the point where it's pretty easy to pick up and play. Not saying you won't be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of content but I don't think that's a bad thing.

I was a little over whelmed at first, but not in a bad way. There are so many dang side quests and other things which is great.
