Someone in another thread, or maybe it was this one, I can't keep up...just argued that masks do no good because cases in California a month after the mandate to wear masks were up.

Not arguing, I just find it interesting.

Everybody is right, except the people we get the information from, they all promoting fear porn. Except for my source. Lol.
My source is the data/charts. The talking heads have an agenda.

They can't have whole teams in buses or planes for hours at a time w/o community spread. I don't see how they don't cancel it if there is no tolerance for outbreaks. And I'm not saying that there should be tolerance for outbreaks.

I think the bubble system can work, but it's not really workable for college sports. At least I don't think university administrators would sign off on it even if all the players took online classes.

I oppose masks mandates because we have not been provided with objective proof or a risk assessment for putting 330 million healthy people in masks. If that proof is provided then I will support ENCOURAGED use of masks. OSHA DOES have guidelines that recognize mask wearing risks. So the group think driving mask wearing is troubling.

The government has just as much business mandating masks as they do mandating condoms.... and unwanted pregnancies and STD's are MUCH larger problems.
That's absurd. I can't even get my nose to stay in a condom, and it slips off my chin constantly.

I should’ve reworded that your right it won’t ever go away even with a vaccine it will just be controlled like the flu and yep some people won’t get the vaccine just like they don’t get the flu shot.
Yep. Never had a flu shot. Have had legit flu once in my life about 20 years ago. My kids have brought it home countless times and I've never gotten it.

I think we're gonna see in a couple more weeks, maybe a month if they really work because I see a lot more people wearing them now than I was seeing. Probably 80-20, maybe even more wearing them versus not when I got out in public and I live in area where most will be against wearing them but are probably choosing to just out of respect for others.

I think the reported case numbers are gonna continue to go up regardless.

Show the same charts for the South.
I want the football season as bad as anyone and have said on here I would gladly sign a waiver that I would not hold the university liable for any health issues afterwards.......BUT, this is a chart that is real with facts. No political or social statement, just the facts........ (this is public record and readily available on their web site)

We’ve had a vaccine for the flu for how long and it’s still here? It’s not going anywhere. When the world decides to move on and not be terrified is the bigger question. Even if there is a vaccine, a lot of people will not take it. So it’s never going to just up and go away.
The fastest vaccine ever developed took four years. That vaccine was for the mumps. There are still no vaccines for a number of viruses. This virus is going to be on this earth for a very long time.

Anyone notice how back in April/May it was all about the death count, and how there would be 1,000,000 deaths by November....not that that was incredible inaccurate, it’s all about the case count...even though deaths have been on a steady decline.
We have gone from "2 weeks away from being Italy" to "flatten the curve" to "we must have a vaccine". All of this is political theater.
