Eat crow thread (Merged)

You're reading comp skills and you're logic is so amazingly inept. So according to this post, if we lost to NCSU you'd be on here praising the staff?

Again, you're an emotional fool with no logic, horrible reading comp skills and you know very little if anything about football.

You're a punk. You have no class.

You drive the clown car. Hell, you OWN the clown car.

It's no surprise though...I doubt anyone here expected you to man up and take your crow.

Even fade ate his crow, ala-mode.

fade > volbeef

I picked us to kill them and damned near hit the nail on the head with the score. Fade thought we may lose. See the difference? Of course you don't.

This is such a dumb-assedly premature thread that I can barely articulate it. The Vols looked good last night against NC State. It is what sounds like when your let those words roll around in your head for a few minutes. The time for crow will be November.

I like to refer to it as "entertainment".

Yeah. I'm the emotional fool. Another good call by the clown prince of VN.

Why don't you start another thread about your hyams love or the ky loss. Or maybe your portfolio, or vasf donation. Or maybe your boat, or your travels abroad. Leave the football discussion for those that know the game. You just said in another thread that vandy is better than that NC state team with several NFL draft picks and expects to compete for the acc. The sooner you come to grips with being a little punk, the better off you will be.

I've stated for months I'd judge us on 4 games (bammer, UGA, UF and USC). I've stated countless times we have 8 def wins on this schedule. Because you can't understand simple things all you do is bring tripe to this site.

Given how the season ended last year and the replacement of the old staff, last night was a breath of fresh air in how the team responded and gives us hope.

Let's hope that happens every game.

Would be fine by me. I don't think he'll ever be dominant, but if he can keep hanging on to the ball, he very well could have a solid season with the focus being on JH11 and CP84. I'd gladly take that. He just has to continue making catches when his opportunities arise.

Yes. The role players wil be needed even more once we reach SEC play.

Ben and Zach were both pleasant surprises last night. They need to bring that every week, only makes us harder to defend.

I'll add that Young is no every down SEC back, imo. BUT, that's no his role. He's a change of pace scat back. He could break some big ones. In many cases, studs sell the tickets, but role players doing their job are the difference makers.

I was skeptical. Very skeptical. Critical even. I am a show me person- don't like talk. I was shown last night that we are capable of making some noise. I'm not saying we win the East by any stretch, but we showed improvement and potential last night. I never said that we weren't down- way down. All I asked was for improvement. We showed that last night. I'll take that.

I was very hopeful of Sunseri. His schemes and style didn't do anything to stifle that hope. Safeties need work, but nothing that isn't correctable.

Watched the game in your neck of the woods. Arrowhead Dr. in Brentwood.

That's really close. Almost bought a house in that neighborhood. Visiting family?

Glad we saw some good things to build on last night. Not jumping the gun on the season or future, but I was glad to see the effort, coaching and attitude on the field again.

My daughter is competing at Opryland in clogging National Championships. Watched with a college roommate from my 1st degree. He has a 12 y/o daughter that is a heck of a softball player (3B & pitcher- playing a travel league tourney today) and a 9 y/o son that plays pee wee football and baseball. If your kids play, you've probably seen him.

Quite a bit to feel hopeful about last night. Loved the defensive schemes, but I'm a D kind of guy.

I agree. I saw some corrections with the safties in the game, especially with Moore. Early on he wasn't picking up the WR when the CB released. He got much better as the game went along.

I'll eat some on Jacob Carter; never expected a walk on to have a meaningful catch in the first game of the season. Glad to see some eating crow when it comes to Z.

This thread should blow up with all the fans that's bashed Z. Ro. Burnt the top corner in America for 6. I've never understood it. Sure he's dropped some in the past but not enough to deserve the heat he's received.
Every time I point out that he would be a starter on a lot of other teams even some SEC teams people laugh. These are the same people who complain about Chaney calling too many runs to the outside when in fact almost all the runs were being bounced to the outside by an impatient RB.

Sadly like everything in life here the most vocal people are almost always the least qualified to be talking. Most people hear someone else say something jump on that bandwagon and ride it till another comes by that catches their fancy.

That being said, I am not only a day one Dool-aid drinker, I help mix it up. This is going to be a long season. The first bullet has been dodged because a loss here would have been hard to recover from. I also think that people probably are blanking it out but the loss of Da'Rick and Cam is going to hurt us as the season goes on. No matter how good Patterson is or Hunter is we were a much better offense when we had all 2 and Cam would have been a big part of the offense also. If we have injuries at TE or WR we are in trouble.

It looked like he had issues with cover 2 or a rolling cover 3 where CB will squat in the flats. It happens, but the best part was we made adjustments and looked better in that area in the 2nd half rather than hanging our heads, folding oyur tents and rolling over to let them kick us some more. Attitude DOES matter.
