Fully expected to beat NC State without question. It should and could have been a much bigger beating.

Yep. Some squandered opportunities. But will not rain on this parade, program really needed this win. That said, they got to learn to pounce when the chance is there.

It was a great win...and a coming out party for CP. Now...give Marlin Lane the damn football.

Yea I noticed he had the worst fall stats but looked the best in the game. Dude was running north. Glad to see zero fumbles. Graham doing work.

Have to agree... even when the holes were clogged he at least try to make some yards quickly and did not try to bounce...

I think Neal can be a decent back when he quits trying to bust long runs and settles for 3-5 yds.

He is a liability when he loses four on first down. He killed a drive at a pivotal time tonight. He completely lacks vision between the tackles.

Neal will be fine. He can make the adjustment. Not a hard fix. Either you run north and south or you spend some time on the bench alone with your thoughts. Jay Graham will help this out.

I have been hard on Byron Moore since watching him in high school. Yeah, he missed a couple of assignments tonight, but I retract what I have said in the past and say he will be just fine for us back there. :peace:

I back Zach and have the whole time! The defense was so much better tonight than i expected. Loved all the pressure on Glennon. I am surprised.

It wasn't beautiful throughout, but it wasn't dog ugly either. It puts us squarely on the right track..I think it will be good for us in the long run that we broke precedent by opening with a non-marshmallow and winning comfortably. It's something we can build on, and that doesn't feel too bad.

He definitely blew a couple of coverages but he sure did tackle well tonight!

I am pleasantly surprised. I never said anything about CP, but he' pretty dang good. Lane runs harder than Neal- it's not even close. OL stills needs work on the goal line, but are improved. I liked the fact that we actually blitzed and got pressure. My thoughts on Sunseri seem to be right, at least for tonight. We need better safety play on seam and post routes as well as cover 2 or rolling cover 3. They were better in the 2nd half though. LBs read great. We actually reacted to and blew up some screens. DL played well overall. Gordon played very well. Good reads and breaks on the ball.

I'm still not enamored with Chaney, but we put up 33 on offense. We did play with emotion and carried it throughout the game. Dooley made a step forward winning a game outside of the state and in a place we haven't won in since 1998. Hope the demons of 2001 were exorcised. I was pleasantly surprised overall. It's a good start. Hope it continues.
