E3 2013 thread

Does 2k traditionally host a conference? I can't remember.

I want to see more of nba2k14.

No, they're not big enough.

They (or the game's developer) would still likely be on the show/expo's floor showing demos of games or fielding interviews, so you'd most likely still see or read more about the game as the expo goes on (until the 13th)

Yes the kids have 2. It's not worth 100 bucks plus third party developers aren't even making games for it now. Oh we'll they still enjoy it all that matters.
You bought two WiiU's? Really? I'm disappointed Mason. :)

Pre ordered my PS4 today along with Killzone: Shadowfall, Knack, Infamous: Second Son, and an extra controller!

Also if you sign up for PS Plus, Drive Club PS Plus edition will be free for download day one!

M$ knows full well what they are doing by turning their backs on the hardcore gamers.

They are intentionally shifting their consumer targets to the mainstream: Apple/Iphone crowd and people who consume many different forms of media - not just video games.

Looks like they are completely fine with burning the bridge with gamers if it means higher profits and expanding their influence into other forms of media - aka TV.

Don't let the door hit your butt on the way out, @$#^ers.

That's a big mistake IMO. Your early adopters ARE hardcore gamers. They are the ones who always get the ball rolling when establishing a new userbase. Without them, you're sort of dead in the water. Casuals aren't going to fork over 500.00 for a new system.

Exactly. Also, they are making you pay for features their core market doesn't want. I think including Kinect is something which a lot of folks don't like and brought up the price unnecessarily.

They didn't even show of Kinect in their big conference show from what I heard. I wonder why not. Make a version without kinect and slice off $50-75 the price of the system. This may be an impossibility though if they are trying to make Kinect a part of every game on the system. Remember when Sony was pushing to have six-axis controls a part of every game? That was fun.

I also heard of one group the XboxOne's 24 hour check in hurts, Military folks. I had a few buddies who played Xbox while on deployment, and they often didn't have great internet connection if any at all. They are getting a bad deal. I know they are a small group, but those military guys and gals like to play video games.

Ryse looks pretty good

Ryse looks great but what they displayed at E3 was basically a QTE game. I saw an article on IGN that people were complaining about it and the developers are trying to defend it.

Yeah, it looks good, but the QTE stuff is of GOW proportions. Definitely not a console seller for me.
