E.P.A. Chief Scott Pruitt (a.k.a. The Swamp Thing)

Sure seems like you're making a better case against this Earley guy rather than the Governor.

Definitely! However, Snyder appointed him and he should have resigned by now. When Donald Trump kicks a Republican Governor out of the Council of Governors - that should tell you something. Although, that was probably just because Snyder didn't endorse him in 2016.

"Scott Pruitt, shortly after taking the EPA job, contacted the former Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates to help his daughter get into the University of Virginia."

and...

"At least three EPA staff members were dispatched to help Scott Pruitt's daughter obtain a summer internship at the White House."

not done yet...

"A University of Oklahoma regent who runs a large marketing firm with energy industry clients assisted EPA's Scott Pruitt in getting 50 yard line tickets at the Rose Bowl."

************************************

The hits just keep on coming with this guy. I've never seen anything quite like it from the head of an agency before. There really is some new self-serving, office abuse disclosed every day.

While sleazy I'm quite positive he isn't this first to do any of this.

I predicted he's gone by COB today. Standing by that.

Certainly not... but by any standard, Pruitt is accumulating an impressive body of work in the swamp.

It is apparent enough that he viewed his appointment as EPA Administrator as a path to enrichment for himself and his family. This comes from a sense of entitlement.

And why is that relevant? Because corruption should be permitted? Because corruption should have no consequences if others got away with it before?

I'm sure he isn't the first nor will he be the last to feel and act the same way, it's all up to whether the press turns a blind eye again or not.

I wish the MSM had always been this diligent in exposing this exposing this type of behavior.

As I said above, I hope the press continues to be this diligent with all administrations.

I completely agree. I wouldn't want a Democrat (or any government employee) to get away with this crap. Pruitt is showing colossal arrogance. He is working in a tax payer funded, public service capacity for crying out loud.

Yet you didn't mention a peep about it until last year.

I honestly can't think of a member of Obama's cabinet who had this many issues involving wasteful spending, self and/or family enrichment and conflicts of interest. If you can think of any, please name them.

I can't remember the press ever digging for corporation.

Why don't you do a google search on a company named Vistria. Check out who owned it, who they are associated with, when they began business and how they made millions.

I think Pruitt will be forced to resign soon but not because of his never-ending ethics controversies (hell, that would be the last reason Trump would fire anyone) but rather because his efforts to weaken the ethanol mandate have made him very unpopular with farmers in the mid-west. That has opened him up to harsh criticism from Republican Senators such as Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley (both from Iowa). Politics, not ethics will eventually be his downfall. Bottom line: Pruitt has issued too many waivers allowing refineries to sidestep biofuel blending requirements and it has royally p***ed off a faction of Trump's base of support.

Yeah, that's not exactly as big a deal as you're making it out to be. Those Regents and whatnot already get tickets to the game (It was OU versus UGA as a reminder) and they tend to be some darn nice seats that are reserved. A few phone calls could be made and that happens. Money talks and whatnot.

I'm pretty sure if UT played in the Rose Bowl (please let this happen in 2021) and the Anderson family or Haslams called up and "asked" if a friend could get seating on the 50 yard line, I'd dare say they're going to do everything in their power make that happen.
