The people I still interact with here mostly get me. And they definitely influence me and my behavior.

That said, I’ve always been a nerd and I’ll likely never change. It’s funny that NorCal thought he was insulting me by calling me seven. And that’s obviously a joke, I know he wasn’t insulting me. But it is legit funny he doesn’t realize all Army personnel are actually only grown up seven year olds.

Also I was in Asheville two Thursdays ago. Forgot how much y’all like pot up there on top of the mountain Exie.

*Hubs is currently foaming at the mouth that the Kentucky Senate, led by Republicans, has voted for a bill to legalize medical cannabis. He figures that NC will soon be an island surrounded by states where pot is quasi-legal.

Of course, if he no longer had to obsessively fuss over his three plants per year, he’d need a new hobby, which would doubtless make my life more complicated, so I’m not really sure which way to go on this one.

Still insanely jealous that TP got to see Flatland Cavalry (who’s frontman is actually Kaitlin’s fiancé) at the Orange Peel this past Thursday

But we do have an amazing amount of music here, all different kinds, some not even featuring banjos! We love it.

My music professor is full-time at Warren Wilson, adjunct here at AB Tech, and plays 6-10 gigs/week during the school year; 35+ in the summer. And he’s primarily a jazz musician, which isn’t the hottest genre around (sadly.) Live music is everywhere.
