Duce Staley blasts David Reaves

Good info.

With that being said placing UT and SC on even ground at this point is not really logical. At your current pace of success you would need to keep it up for at least a few more years, without UT improving.

Facilities are very important for any universities success, however that does not mean you will succeed. SC's draft classes are better, but without major success those will fall off, players will only buy into it for so long without the proof in the pudding so to speak. Trust us we know plenty about this subject.

Bottom line is Spurrier has to deliver to take this program up a notch. This was supposed to be the year he had the pieces in place to do so. It didn't work out, if there is no improvement next year you can expect to see some of those recruits fail to buy in and look elsewhere. The recruiting trail keeps getting harder in the SEC every year, it looks like this conference will have many great recruiters for some time.
Correct, didn't Kiffin say we had better facilities than So Cal? Fat lot of good that has done us.

With a new coach and all the money starting to come in from the new contracts how long before you think we see facility upgrades? Five to six years?

Reaves can make up all these lies and Kiffin can go ahead and show every player a video of Reggie Bush and tell the player there going to be like bush. What a joke. Giles was smart and made a good choice. Tennessee is going down hill. Lane kiffin thinks he is going to get all these great players just b/c he coached at southern cal, fyi kiffin.....you dont have pete carroll any more. Spurrier owns the vols and will continue to do so, he wooped yall on the field, and now he is taking ur players! Sad day for vol fans, but lane kiffin is going to make yall national champions right? haha riiiiggghhhttt.....27-6

I lived in SC for 7 years and had to listen to this bunch of losers talk. All I heard when Spurrier was hired was there was a "New Beast In the East." Has SC ever even been to an SEC championship game? Have they ever played in a BCS bowl? Have they ever won a National Championship? Okay, okay that is our past. Have they ever won 10 games in a season? We are going through a rough streach right now. SC lives in one.

I wouldn't look too much into that 5th and 7th place deal.

5th place =19 games above .500
7th =4 games below .500

Nothing shows that USC is really headed in the right direction under Spurrier as one year isn't that different from the year before. One year does not put USC passing UT on any level.

Might I shoot about 100 holes in this trash.

First, he was a voice of reason amongst a bunch of idiotic posts. He clearly stated that he wasn't one who thought USC had passed UT.

Second, he was merely pointing out that USC isn't the doormat of the SEC that they were in the 90's, and also stated that he wasn't happy about where we were as UT fans aren't happy with where you are.

Fair enough?

I find a distinct irony in UT fans telling us how much we suck, after we beat you for the second time in four years. Then you hired our recruiting coordinator and tried to steal our recruits. Apparently somebody in Knoxville thought we were doing something right.

Not that I give a rip about Reaves leaving. I hope you enjoy his services as much as he enjoys the nightlife in downtown Knoxville. Which is where he'll be when you wish he was out recruiting.

Vaya con Dios, fellas.

Our history is awful, and that's a given. And Spurrier hasn't delivered yet, but he is 2-2 against Tenn. Which is better then any other coach that's been at SC. He's been pretty competitive in the losses as well. History says Tenn is a much better program than USC, but recent history USC is on par with Tenn. That's the fact of the matter.

And Tennessee has had two of its worst seasons ever when USCe got the W.

This false as well. When in the past two seasons did you go to the SECC game?

If you look at head to head you might have a case. However there is more to the SEC than UT and SC. Over the past four years our accomplishments have still been better than yours.

After reading the posts from our illustrious gamecock fans I am reminded of a great Tennessean's comments on South Carolina..."It's too small to be a nation, and too big to be an insane asylum."(or words to that effect)... Andrew Jackson

In all fairness they can crow this year as they whipped our tails and we looked, played, and behaved as bad as I have seen a Tennessee team do in a very long time. I was not at the Wyoming game however.

GO VOLS! GO CLK!

While sandwiching in two losing seasons

Still looking for the 100 holes. Nothing you said changes anything in my post, as a matter of fact your "First" argument is in reference to an edit he made after my post. Your second argument is weak based on the stat he gave showing that you guys are sub .500 this decade. Maybe no doormat but not even middle of the pack.

He had a pretty well thought out post and gave new information on the Reaves-Staley deal. Your post is the same drivel spread by the other cock fans.

Your team managed to beat the Vols during two below-.500 seasons. It's funny and pathetic that you and your fellow Cock fans are somehow proud of that. Color me unimpressed.

In recent history, has South Carolina won the SEC East? Finished with less than five losses? Done anything to be relevant outside of Columbia? I didn't think so.

Head to head for the last 4 years is a decent gage don't you think? It says the two programs as it sits today aren't that far off.

Don't get it twisted Tenn is a better program. For you guys sake you better hope the risky hire pans out. I suspect it will, and I suspect Kiffin will be the new Spurrier as far as getting under peoples skin and wisecracks.

Why 4 years? Why not 3 or 5?

Not when we are talking about our respective places in the SEC as a whole. You have to take a look at overall records over the last five years or so (SEC play) to get a real feel.

Honestly I don't know what the results would be (don't have the time to look) but i would imagine we stack up better.

Not here to impress, and it's not our fault Tenn was awful those years. It is USC's fault you weren't .500 those years. You are correct. We are proud of the wins, because of the respect we have towards the tradition of a program the caliber of Tenn.

And 2 of those 4 years we finished higher in the east then Tenn. And I'm not going to take the time to look total SEC wins, cause I'm 100% sure you guys had many more wins. I do know in the 4 years of Spurrier's arrival, the washed up coach has finished higher then Tenn. And I know he's beaten Tenn half the time.

We are 2-2 against Richt in the last four years. Maybe Fulmer was his equal too.
