Drug testing across SEC

Football and the law are 2 different things. The law can say weed and all drugs are now legal and schools would still have a list of banned substances they test for.

What did I say to make you think I was batschit stupid and you needed to explain that to me?

Oh lord. What a great idea. Let's make the use of a dangerous, gateway drug a slap on the wrist crime.I've got a better idea. Let's make anything under an ounce a felony and mandatory prison sentence.

That's the most stupid thing I've heard today. Thanks

I'm with the guy that said just test for PEDs. I think that's how it should be across all athletics.

Cocaine, crank, meth, ampetimines and most illegal drugs are considered PEDs.

HGH should be completly legal.

Why, it's not safe in doses used for bodybuilding and such. Actually it leads to insulin resistance and high cholesterol

I fail to understand what BUSINESS it is of ANYONE to dictate what you can and cannot put in your body. This tired assed old morality needs to be taken out to sea and tossed overboard.

It's not what you put in your body that is the problem, it is what you do to others when you put it in there. Don't drink and drive!

McDonalds leads to diabetes and high cholesterol, but it's still legal.

Comparing McDonald's to a human hormone, lame. Ok buddy, McDonald's doesn't lead to adrenal glands suppression. There is a reason why hgh is banned and it's because of its abuse. But go ahead thinking it's safe, and while you are at it start smoking cigarettes

I already smoke. We shouldn't have excessive regulations on what we can and can't consume. McDonalds is actually full of hormones.

As long as it isn't a extreme detriment to our society as in endanger others, then I don't have a problem with HGH being legal.

Honestly, the LAST thing that a corrupt and unorganized mess of an operation like the NCAA needs is another rule to govern. Based on their recent track record I'd be more comfortable with the SEC stepping in to enforce uniform testing and uniform disciplinary guidelines.

You understand that the NCAA is an organization made up of its member schools. And those schools are the ones that vote and enforce rule changes like this, right?

So you want young men to dope up and ruin their livers, adrenals, pancreas so that your football team can win. Wow

I said it because you seemed to be defending it. Personally, I feel like marijuana is one of the worst things out there because so many act like it's harmless.

If you consider my personal belief that mj should be legal a defense of those that smoke it then okay. Its not "one of the most dangerous things out there", its not even close. Its a natural substance, used as a natural substance. Its proven to have many benefits, medically and industrial. But we cant have adult conversations about it because our government schools told us it was bad in our 3rd grade DARE class and our lack of knowledge leaves calling those that say it should be legal dopeheads as our only argument.

If people want to risk the health effect, just like alcohol, cigerettes etc, then why not?

You serious?

Criminalization of weed (hemp) had nothing to do with racism and jailing people and everything to do with money.

You are 10000% WRONG here. Harry J. Anslinger, a former prohibition lawman used that old saw about Mexicans, deranged on Marijuana, violating our white women. Black folks got the same treatment earlier with cocaine, and before that, it was crazed Chinese men, high on opium. Just google "Racist background of American drug laws." I am not saying that drugs are not potentially dangerous. I am saying that the laws are outmoded.

At least 3 dopeheads agree.

The real dangerous gateway drugs are actually legal. Which of these is likely the first drug used by addicts - weed, cigarettes or alcohol?

I've got a better idea.
no, you really don't. The us prison system is already overflowing with nonviolent criminals convicted of pretty crimes and you want to make more? Idiotic

It's their choice to do Steriods. Last time I knew, Bill Kazmaier is doing just fine.

I agree PED's should be tested for and those who come up positive should be held accountable and punished. Having said that, if we are going to test and punish people for smokin a little weed then we should do the same for alcohol, nicotine, "legal" narcotics and other mind altering substances. That's actually one thing the federal government gets right, they don't drug test as a requirement for employment. I know electrical, mechanical, and nuclear engineers as well as doctors, lawyers and law enforcement personnel who smoke weed everyday and do fine on the job. Personally I have a medical condition which has led me to countless doctors, specialists and pharmaceuticals and none of those have come close to helping me as well as 2 puffs off of some good medical Marijuana. Yes I said medical Marijuana because contrary to what many martini drinking cigar smoking holier than thou's tell you, Marijuana does have multiple proven medical benefits. In addition I've had multiple family members and friends die from alcohol and legal drug abuse. To my knowledge I haven't heard of 1 person dying of Marijuana abuse and most every bad decision I've made has been a result of alcohol abuse
