That's correct. None of my business.

Its a message board. We discuss our opinions on things whether they are Our business or not. My opinion is if I had a son playing big time college football, I wouldn't want him playing with or against anyone under the influence of drugs and or alcohol.

Drug laws are racist?

Personally I would love the opposition to be drunk or high DURING the game..

Yes. Cannabis was criminalized to put Black and Mexican men in prison. It is in all the old government propaganda from when it was criminalized. Now they are enforced in a racist manner.

You serious?

Criminalization of weed (hemp) had nothing to do with racism and jailing people and everything to do with money.

Another person ignorant of history.

“There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the U.S., and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz and swing result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers and any others.”

If it was only about money then 80% of people incarcerated for drugs wouldn't be minorities. Races use drugs at the same rates, If the laws were enforced without racial bias then those jailed would reflect the racial makeup of the country.

Any person who has read a book knows the reasons for the laws and mandatory minimum sentencing.

That's not the point. The point is, is that it is none of yours, or my business. The drug laws are pretty much all racist in origin anyway, and besides, why should you even care?

And if college coaches, the NCAA, an employer, etc. decide they do not want to allow participation or hire someone who puts anything and everything into their body at anytime and anyplace, that is their choice and their business - not yours.

I take it that some of you haven't had to try to get a job lately. Guess what - you must pass the drug test they give you.

If you don't pass - no job.

I'm with the guy that said just test for PEDs. I think that's how it should be across all athletics.

Oxycontin is the true "gateway drug". Gateway to hell.

When that drug first came out, an RN told me it was intended for terminally ill patients with uncontrollable pain only. It was considered that big of an addiction risk. Now, I hear of it prescribed to patients with orthopedic issues.

A gateway to Hell? Nobody ever said it better.

Are you pointing out ignorance of history, or historical ignorance? I am confused.

Ignorance of history. People claimed drug laws had nothing to do with race. I posted a famous quote from the guy who started most of them framing it as a racial issue. So the law was racist from the jump.

You think college football players should be allowed to drink, smoke, snort, shoot up and or swallow whatever and whenever they want?

Football and the law are 2 different things. The law can say weed and all drugs are now legal and schools would still have a list of banned substances they test for.

Theres probably 100k marijuana smokers in Knoxville alone now. Things change. Opinions change. Although it it sad how people once thought.
