Drops per attempt

Its a valid complaint. Pretty sure we lead the SEC in drops last year too. Whats crazy is Brazzell dropped plenty of balls last year, almost as many as Nimrod. This year he has been really good even making tough catches. Arkansas doubled him the whole game so he only had 1 catch IIRC, but against Bama he made some clutch catches. We have to get better catching the ball. Our entire WR corps are freshmen from an experience standpoint except #17 though. They will improve and with the 4WRs we have coming in for 26 we will be loaded. Hope we can keep all or most of them.

This has been a problem for three years now though has it not been? I don't recall Hendons year as well as Joe's and Nicos. I feel as if I've been complaining about it for 3 years now.
Yep. Miltons stats would have been significantly better if not for the drops. Nico’s stats would have been better as well. I don’t get it. How can these guys, who have been catching passes for years just not be that good at it???

Not coming down on Mike.
But you can see why Kirby Smart was telling him that he was a DB.

Mike dropped the ball a lot in HS too. But he was still making plays on defense and on offense because he got so many chances.
W 4 young, stud WR’s coming in next year, what are the odds MM is asked to move over to the defensive side of the ball?

I’ll hang up and listen.

Some of those drops should definitely have been made but some were difficult because of where the ball was thrown. I asked a friend who was an NFL receiver what he considered a throw that "hit the receiver in the hands". He said "waist to face" without arms fully extended, i.e. too high, too low or too far away especially behind the receiver if on a crossing route. Several of those drops were made far outside that "hitting the receiver in the hands" category.
