Drastic action needed on Ebola

That's why he brought it to America after he said it would never get here. As soon as he said that guess what......

Yes, the army developed Ebola 40 years ago so that Obama could allow it into the country and then cure it just before the 2014 midterms. This was overseen by the same people that planted the birth announcement in the Hawaiian newspaper.

Barry said it would never get here. Almost as soon as he said that what happened? Looks like a pattern.

No, Obama's going for High Chancellor. Don't fear though, I've been stocking up on Guy Fawkes masks...just biding my time.

When you have a bumbling idiot in charge of our nations security it tends to make one nervous..

Meh, no reason to worry here in the US. Barry is a moron but Ebola is extremely unlikely to cause any serious damage. As long as the general public doesn't mass panic , things should be fine.

Um have you been reading the hysteria that is this thread? Some people think Ebola=automatic death. Its ridiculous.

It appears that you're a bit confused. I haven't seen even one person on this thread say or even imply that Ebola kills 100% of those infected. The estimated kill rate is, what, anywhere from 50% to 90%, depending on the statistics you read? The reactions in this thread are based on the fact that our apparently inept government has allowed Ebola to enter our borders when they could have easily prevented it with obvious precautions (e.g., a simple travel ban), and as a result multiple Americans have contracted a disease that is more likely to kill you than not. And on top of that, responded ineptly to the inevitable cases that they practically invited to our shores. Thankfully, the victims seem to be recovering well; that, I think we can all agree, is good news. But you act as though you wouldn't be scared ####less if you caught it. Give me a break.

It kills at that percentage in underdeveloped African countries. So far Western hospitals are batting .1000 in every case that was detected early to my knowledge.

For sure, and the company that developed the medications used didn't really develop them either.

Would I be scared if I caught it? Absolutely. I have never been worried about catching it because unlike you, I know how hard it is to contract. My biggest point is in this thread you have freaked out and posted a lot of useless garbage. Oh the CDC is trash and inept blah, blah blah. Why don't you go and ask the Ebola survivors how inept the CDC is?

Did the government make mistakes? Absolutely. But consider something, they had never dealt with an outbreak of Ebola like this. You had to expect mistakes to be made. If you actually knew some infectious disease specialists, they probably would have told you they were surprised it took as long as it did for Ebola to come here.

Your confusion apparently knows no bounds.

And yet we are all idiots for, according to you, thinking that contracting Ebola means an automatic death sentence. I guess you're not too confident of your chances in the event you get it.

I have never been worried about catching it because unlike you, I know how hard it is to contract.

I guess that's why the CDC has classified it as a Level 4 biohazard, requiring pressure suits and negative pressure rooms for handling. It's not like anyone has caught Ebola while using gloves, an apron and a mask. Oh, wait . . . .

Why don't you go and ask the Ebola survivors how inept the CDC is?

Good idea. I'd like to hear their answer after the CDC told them a gown, gloves and mask would protect them from getting it in the first place. They can thank their doctors for correcting the CDC's mistakes, but I guess you would give credit to the CDC credit for that. Good thinking.

But consider something, they had never dealt with an outbreak of Ebola like this.l

Arent they the ones bragging about how much experience they have dealing with these situations in Africa? Have they learned anything along the way?

Nice try.
