Drastic action needed on Ebola

I understand that some parts of Africa need our help. Is it worth the potential outbreak here in the US? These doctors that choose to go help need to understand that they need to stay for a while. Its great that they want to help but they should not be able to come back without going into quarantine first. As far as flights go, set up a quarantine for monitoring before they get on a plane.

In NYC, you are allowed to walk the streets with Ebola but you better leave that Big Gulp at the border

My question is did the doctor know he had the disease when he in the general public? I haven't read anything but I assumed he just started showing symptoms this morning.

My next point is this as well; any sane individual would probably voluntary self-quarantine themselves after treating patients in West Africa, myself included, but unless there was a government imposed mandatory isolation he is still an American citizens with all the rights and privileges that come with that and can do as he pleases. So unless he willfully violated a Federal isolation order I'm not sure what you can do?

He had symptoms on the way to the bowling alley. Besides he is a DR who just got back from working on Ebola patients. WTH are you doing riding cabs and taking the Subway in NYC?

I see what's going on here. It's health care professionals that were the real targets all along. With Obamacare being the disaster it is the only logical choice is to now make people avoid doctors at all costs.

Foot hurt? Get used to limping or risk contracting ebola. Simple choice.

If you like your doctor we will kill your doctor, period! :)

Why in the hell wouldn't a doctor who was working on Ebola patience not be required by the CDC to be quarantined and tested for Ebola? I understand you can't quarintine every person. But, a doctor who was in direct contact with infected patients?

Listen, if you can't handle this, what the hell can you handle.

I blame the Doc, but I blame the Feds lackadaisical methods more. Surely someone should be fired for this.

Just like most government agencies they can't do anything right. Feds are no better. I doubt anyone will be held accountable. Although to be fair, anyone with common sense - most of all a doctor - should know not to put his ass in public after working with Ebola patients.
