Actually it wouldn't be a "cure" but rather a vaccine.

There are no cures for viruses.

But I wouldn't imagine you are far off the mark. I'd be willing to bet someone has something they've been working on.

The US has had a biowar team there before the breakout. I assume to catch "it" before it went bezerk.

Hard to think of a time the US hasn't had some form of government agency, be it civilian or military, over in Africa studying the diseases.

There's a sad truth to this statement.

You all should be more worried about how these doctors got it. They were following strict protocols disinfecting their suits and equipment and still got it. The CDC gave them the serum because they know what's going on where the rest of the world hasn't been told yet. It's already mutated and gone airborne. Everything that's happened up to this point is straight out of the movies.

The CDC even raised it's alert level to 1, it's highest rating. The last time they did this was in 2009 during the H1N1 pandemic.

Ebola is not airborne to humans. There is no reason to freak out.

Yes they will. With something this deadly absolutely. They would be giving nationwide warnings, setting up quarantine zones and recommending people stay in their homes etc. This is not the flu. Keeping this underwraps is not something anyone could do. Still there is absolutely no reason to freak out. Its not going to spread like it has in Africa.
